Best Italian food in Disney?

Best pizza, VIA NAPOLI! OMG its wonderful!!!! :goodvibes The best pizza in disney for sure! Great portion too!

Best pasta, Tutto Italia. I love their lasagna and also the fetuccini w/ parmesan cream sauce & pancetta. SO GOOD! :goodvibes

The absolute WORST italian food i've ever had in my life, Tony's. Gross beyond words.

Il Mulino
Via Napoli (for pizza)
Portabello Yacht Club
Via Napoli (for items other than pizza)
Tutto Italia
Mama Melrose

I have to jump in for the Tony's hate. It was honestly the worst meal we have ever had at Disney.

I would stick with Tutto Italia or Via Napoli.

Tutto Italia was the best. great service & I cleaned my plate. I did NOTTTTT like Tony's at all.

As usual, I agree with JimmyV. This is my exact order also.

Il Mulino and Portobello are the only ones worth visiting, in my opinion. But if you must choose something within a park, go for one of the Epcot restaurants. Stay far away from Mama Melrose's and Tony's if you have any inclination toward good Italian food.

I have only eaten at 3 - Tutto, Portabello and Mama Melrose. We LOVED Tutto and Portabello but I would give the edge to Tutto for their excellent lasagna. MM didn't compare to the two meals we just had at the first two last week. Yum!

AHHHH I have never eaten at Tony's so I made ADR there our first night in May. I need a little Italian sometime during the week. If I change I would have to rearrange almost everyday :faint:
Surely there must be SOMETHING there that is tolerable !!

If you stay away from dishes that contain tomato/marinara sauce, like chicken parmesan, spaghetti and meatballs (gross meatballs btw), you should be fine. Ppl who have had steak, flatbread, or calamari have enjoyed their meals.

Thanks for advice:thumbsup2 Though if I can't trust the meatballs in an Italian restaurant I sure as hell ain't eating the calamari lol :rotfl2: Looks like I'll be looking over my ADR's tomorrow and make a few "adjustments"
Thanks again
What I wouldn't give to see a Maple Leafs vs Blackhawks game right now !

Oh ya no kidding. Since there's no NHL, we've been going to AHL games (Toronto Marlies). I kinda like that better anyway. Great hockey at a fraction of the cost! Bonus! ;)

Anywho, i'd definitely try to make a few adjustments if you can avoid Tony's. You can always try it out of course. But dont say I didnt warn you. Lol! :joker:

The best most fresh tasting mozzarella I ever tasted on a pizza!! My DD and I talk about it all the time.

We made ADR for the first night of our trip in May!!!:cool1: I can not wait too take my Mom there...It is delish!!!:goodvibes

Love the blood orange drink too..very refreshing...

Il Mulino-hands down. It is on the dining plan-it's a signature, requiring two table services credits.

I am so glad to see all the Tony's reviews on here. We have never eaten there and have tried on our last couple visits but were never successful. Looks like I may try a little less next time around.
