DS1 doesn't even give our elf a chance to rip everything off the tree. He gets that done himself first thing in the morning, and last thing before we put him to bed.:rotfl2:

I'm sure he does! I remember when we had to protect the tree with the National Guard. You should video tape it so you can show him when he gets older. We did that and it's fun to watch it once and a while.

Good idea! I will do that... DW and I agreed its hysterical to look at a tree that's beautiful from 2.5 feet and up, and a war-zone below that! :lmao:

Sunday ownage.

Those are big candy canes. Prayers for the Inlaws.

It doesn't qualify as a movie. Why did it have to be a movie?

I don't have a fin or hand signal in this bet, but I'll trade you some lamb fries for some Maine Lobsters.

:lmao:

Most all of my posts are from iPad or Smartphone. Other than a couple of threadsi have not competed for the highest overall post count or last word. My initial goal was to have more posts than my nemesis. And, since David joined in one and me in 2, we have been posting a long time. As I got closer to the top, and Dave moved to the pub and Stopher left for his own website, I had a chance at the top. But, other than the post padding, I do go back and ready and reply to all the posts as I like you guys. Pathetic, huh?

No, keeping up with Brian is a fool's game. He joined later than everyone and will soon take over the number 1 spot. I'm just glad I held the title for one thread, and more importantly, that I have more posts than my nemesis.

Thanks for the prayers. Let's see if I can respond to all of these.

1) The candy canes are really ridiculous, but everyone got a charge out of them.

2) Lobster for lamb fries sounds like a good trade. I'll IM you for your address when I have time to get to the docks (I get them direct from my friend on his boat-can't get any fresher). You want them cooked or alive and you can cook?

3) Didn't have to be a movie, just having some fun.

4) Wasn't trying to offend about the posting. I have fun talking to you guys as well. Just a little ribbing as we have been the top two on this thread so far. Not pathetic, there are a lot of good topics...and a lot of funny stuff....as well. I say enjoy. I'll meet you at the parks some time.

I think that has to be a mission of the DISDads to ask Crush what he thinks, next time they are at Turtle Talk with Crush....

If I remember correctly, there was a turtle soup or maybe a piece of turtle clothing made at some point and Crush was shocked, hid for a few seconds and made some kind of funny scared comment. Can't remember if this happened when we were there or if we saw it on TV somewhere (maybe a commercial?):confused3

Here are the results of todays gift auction:confused3

They did not have any WDW park tickets this time, the big prize I was going for was a 5500W Generator (that I didn't win)

I did win 2 lawn seats for our choice of concert at PNC center though (worth at least 60+ depending on show) so I'll have to see in April who we want to see:confused3 Rush usually plays there and I've never seen them live before so that could be a choice if they are there this year (even though they are from Canada:lmao:)

Spent $80 at the auction, won $60, down $20, not too bad it wasn't a total loss still get to see a concert, and from all the ones I won bigger things at, I'm still way ahead:thumbsup2

I've heard what the Mainers call people from Mass. I'm surprised they let you in. ;) :rotfl2:

They need our $$ to keep the state running. It's hard to pay benefits in wood and lobster. :rotfl2::rotfl2::lmao::lmao:

Just watched Christmas Vacation for the first time this Holiday Season. Man I love that movie.

We love that movie. Watched it last week and see parts of it on TV here and there. I've used the "staple my head to the carpet" line at work several times.:thumbsup2

Best part of Sunday Football was just on.

faith-hill-snf.jpg

and here I am watching Amazing Race and talking to Chris and Mark on Facebook about the episode.

Have fun. Last episode of the season, right?

First hour got rid of one team and we are now down to the final 3, a weak final 3 though.

Agree with that picture. Surprised the Canadians haven't tried to take credit for her being on yet.:lmao::lmao:

We used to watch Amazing Race, but didn't really get into it this season, not sure why?:confused3 Enjoy watching the final run to the million!

You didn't offend. I enjoy it or wouldn't post back with you. You can send me lobsters alive and and I can cook them. Do you know what lamb fries are?

Well she was adopted so there is always the possibility that she was actually born in Canada. :rotfl2:

Post 3000....yay me!:yay:

Spent the afternoon at the mall today, kids had a birthday party to attend at Build-A-Bear. We got the kids finished for Christmas, and a lot of the others. Mall was a freakin' zoo. Pretty tired, but trying to get laundry done

Glad it was a good day. Still need to finish up a few things. It looks like our August Disney trip may be under the tree this year. I'll know what my bi-annual bonus will be this week. So I'm thinking it will be a good week no matter what.

How is the health?

I know my bonus too, big fat ZERO. DW will get a nice little check plus gift certificates though.

Health pretty good all and all. One more planned hospital trip Tuesday afternoon for one more test and follow up, but it'll take most the afternoon. Other then that, developoed a cold in the bronchial tubes naturally, so have a very irritating cough, been keeping me and DW up, plus wearing me out in general. At least Tuesday it'll get addressed. Other then that a definite improvement, in particlar, since I've learned my lesson and being carefull to take the blood pressure meds. Going to book my regular doctor for very early into the new year before the meds run out.

Hey Guys,

Had brunch with Santa :santa:today. Kids had a good time and got candy canes that weigh about 6 pounds each.:thumbsup2

On a bad note, FIL just had his hip replaced on Wednesday and now MIL is in the hospital overnight tonight. Apparently she has low sodium levels and low bone density. Wife and DS just wen to visit both. Hopefully both get better soon.

Monster canes!! :thumbsup2 Prayers to your in-laws and family.

I think it's a noble effort to try to reply to everyone. I wish I could, but sometimes I have nothing to say, good or otherwise.

Wish I could post more, done respectable numbers since joining, but can't access the boards from work, and usually for a few hours after I get home, gettung dinner ready, homework checking etc.

congrats on 3000 and surviving the mall. Randall can create another 20 or so threads. You'll be fine.

Quick question, could you fill a tank with beer and have a hose attached so you could have a drink while exploring a reef or some old wreck? :rotfl2:

There would be definitely a demand for it. If someone could figure it out, they would make a fortune.

Great pics CJ! I would take a bunch of pictures of the dreary weather up here this weekend, but I'm too lazy... ;)

Awesome pics CJ, thanks for the pick-me up...

CJ- I am jealous. Great pictures. I hope you are making good use of that tiki bar! :drinking1

Another great diving outing CJ... :thumbsup2

More great pictures, CJ. And, I'm more jealous.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. The underwater ones weren't really that good. And yes, the Tiki Bar got a workout.

Well, baseball practice went well. Won soccer, won DD hoops, lost DS hoops. 2 out of 3 is not bad.:thumbsup2 Happy Sunday guys!

Congrats to the kids. I'm sure you had nothing to do with it. Well, you probably were the cause for the loss.

I hope you didn't pull a muscle sitting in the sun yesterday. :sad2::sad2:

Was worried about that when I put on sun screen on my back until a woman came by and volunteered to do it for me. She was about my age so I declined. Would have rather risked injury.

Concert was good. I'll post a pic of DD later as soon as I download them.

Please don't encourage CJ, at least he forgot the beer (getting old are we?:lmao:). I hope all the fish in the pictures were looking the other way!:rotfl2:

That was a stupid move on our part and rightly chastised. I am so ashamed.

on 3000 posts!

My bonus is they are giving me Christmas eve off. I wasn't going to be here anyhow.

Glad the health is improving. Take those meds. :thumbsup2

Not having anything to say never stopped me or most of this bunch. That is one of the things I like about you guys.

I don't care, just as long as my supply isn't disturbed. Of course, there has been an abundance of lobsters this year, but the price in restaurants has not decreased. I'd like to budget in those lobster grams from QVC. Of course, CJ has that enless supply of lobsters three. Even if they are Florida lobsters, they are still good. Hey CJ, can you ship me some lobsters? Only the free ones though! :lmao:

Turtles? You eat turtles? :confused3 What would crush think!:rotfl2:

How about we put down a few shellfish on the Dec. 30 Fins/Pats game? If Pats lose, I'll send you a couple Maine Lobsters. If Pats win.......What do you have in Miami?:rotfl:

No, I don't eat turtles. Crush is safe.

They usually don't ship lobsters from here other than commercially. Agree with Norm, our "lobsters" are good but they don't compare to the real ones from up north.

Our main crustacean delicacy export is stone crab claws. By law only one claw (I think it is the one on the right) can be harvested. The crabs are then thrown back and between 1-2 years, the claw will regenerate large enough to be harvested again. One of the hottest places down here is Joe's Stone Crab. They are open seasonally and make a ton of money. Had lunch there a couple of times but never for dinner. $$$$ for lunch, $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ for dinner.

And no, there will be no bets between the Dolphins and the Pats. A few years ago my then boss and I bet against another office in Boston during a playoff game. Stone Crabs vs. Lobster. Start of the Phins decline and we lost. The crabs cost about $30 but the shipping was over $100. Almost worth flying up to deliver personally.

Glad to hear about the visit with Santa. Sorry to hear about the in-laws. Hopes for a speedy recovery.

Post 3000....yay me!:yay:

Congrats on 3,000. May you forever be posting. Better yet, glad the bad stuff health wise is going away.

Hey dads. That cold turned into bronchitis. However, steroids and antibiotics have made me a new man. A Canadian man, but a new one nonetheless. Hope y'all are well. 14 days to Christmas cruise on the Wonder

Good evening. We made it home this evening against my strong protest. Probably not much point going back the past week aside from what little I caught while I was away, so prayers, congratulations, condolences and happy birthdays.

Time to adjust to being back in the real world.

Was supposed to have New Years Eve off, giving me a 5 day vacation, but no dice, big boss recinded all the 24th/31st off. Work comes first, family second. (betcha he's off though):sad2:It's our busiest time of year, you would think a bonus would make a nice gesture for all the harder work, stress and craziness that comes this time of year. :confused3 ah well, we hardly get by, what with the 3-4 billion in profuts we make.
