Hello everyone!!!

I just booked this cruise for me and my boyfriend. It will be my 8th cruise, but first with Disney, and since I am such a Disney fan I know that it is truly my dream come true. This 13 month wait is going to be long but hopefully we will keep each other company!!! Can't wait to get the planning process underway. :cool1:

EDIT: January, 31: Here is the link to the facebook group as well:

for those interested in joining...FE group will be set up there.

Count us in! :cool1:
My DH and I are traveling with DD (23) and DGS (2).
We're in Cat. 8C connecting.

How exciting, it looks like you have sailed DCL before, you will be a good source of information!!! I am so excited, the bf is holding back a little bit of his enthusias, :-) But I know he will love it. We will both be 25 by the time the cruise comes around. It is a bit of a celebration cruise, as I will just be graduating from grad school a month before we sail! I am already trying to think about excursions etc. I would love to extend the trip a little and add a stay at WDW, since I have never been, but that decision will have to be made much later. I am looking forward to all of the planning (what I do best) I know I will be spending a lot of time on these boards.

Count us in! This will be the 2nd cruise for my wife and I. We sailed earlier this year on the Wonder to Alaska, and had the time of our lives. I thought everything was great, and am excited to see how much more fantastic the Fantasy is, since it's the top of the line. This cruise has added sentimental value for me, because January 4, 2014 is my 40th birthday, and there is no place I'd rather spend it than on a DCL ship.

Once we get some more peeps on this voyage, we can start talking Fish Extenders!

Hello everyone! I'm Kathy, wife of Pinocchio's #1 Fan, and I'm gonna volunteer my services to set up the Fish Exchange for our cruise. I figure since I've been on Disney cruise, I'm an expert now, right?

I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone in the next 13 months, and having others to share the excitement as the cruise draws closer.

:woohoo: I booked yesterday, been waiting for a year! Celebrating my HUGE 60th with my guy friend. T'will be my 5th or 6th DCL cruise. (trying to get on one this winter with my DD.

:yay: :welcome:

Wow! Quite a group we've got started!
This will be my 5th Disney sailing and my DH's 3rd. I was fortunate enough to have sailed twice on the Fantasy in 2012 (both Eastern). Am looking forward to going the other direction this cruise :boat:

WOW, so glad we already have an active board! I will be happy to join in on the FE festivities...I have some idea of how it works, but still not 100% sure. I have 13 months to plan what I am going to give though so that is GOOD. I love being crafty

Really looking forward to experiencing DCL. We did an Eastern this year, so I too am excited about the Western itinerary, just for something different. I am going to have to set up my watchdog acct to find me flights for this trip when the time comes....getting cheap arifare from SFO can be tricky sometimes, especially around the holidays.

Let the waiting begin. popcorn::

Friends whom we have sailed with have found some good deals on Virgin from SFO to MCO. They've always been able to fly to Orlando (way) cheaper than we can from our location in MT! It's scary expensive from here :sad2:

Yes, the advantage to living near a popular travel city is good airfare, compared to other places! Just have to find the right deal. Last trip we went around the same time and were able to get RT flights from SFO to FLL for 300 a piece, not too shabby...would love to score a deal like that for this one! Never flown into MCO before, so not sure if they are more or less pricey than FLL. Knowing us we will fly in one or two days before, stay near the port and then if we do end up deciding to do WDW it will be after the cruise (have to be home for the new year, plus it will be cheaper after the cruise and further away from the holiday). Is it a little too early to have this planned???? Typically when I have a cruise booked, it is constantly on my mind and I am always planning!

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :goodvibes

Have a great cruise!

Count us in! It will be me (the mom) and my DS who will be 6, almost 7 (turns 7 at the end of Jan) on this trip. He will still be on winter break. I booked an 11C stateroom. This will be our 3rd Disney cruise. We did the 2 week Hawaii cruise on the Wonder in October and a 7 day also on the Wonder to the Mexican Riviera in April. This will be our first cruise out of PC and on a newer ship. I'm excited!

Welcome!

We are also in an 11C so we are most likely neighbors! :-) hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday... It's Christmas decorating day at my house!

Count us in...so far DW, DD (19) DS (23) and I. Cat 5E..This will be my 5th DCL cruise... Good news, I own a screen printing store, so if we want special shirts for our special cruise I can do them. :)

I was supposed to be doing this same cruise for 2013, but I had to bail due to the brand new business. I also opened a travel office... 13 months...but I am sure we will all make the time fly here.. :)

Welcome coach Rick. I am sure the extra wait will be worth it! Seems we will have a big meet up group considering all of the attn this board has already gotten, always makes the time go quicker with an active meet up board!! Just put up a dcl ornament on the tree!!

That makes three of us in 11C!

As far a DCL goes, the 11C is the equivalent of what we used to refer to as the "Bob Eucker" seats at the ball park! (Hoping someone here gets that reference!)
That just means we won't have to walk very far to drop goodies in your fish extender! We have cabin 2525, so one of you guys might even be our next door neighbor! IT looks to me like we have a lot of people from California in our group. For you guys, I have included this handy map!

This cruise is gonna be a blast!

We will be right across the hall from you! Hope the end cabins aren't too bad and Loud as far as close to the elevators and stairs... The nice thing is it seems pretty secluded down there with only a handful of cabins...and close access to enchanted garden! Score. I'm sure it will busy during dining times but chances are we will be dining too and not in our cabin!!!! Honestly I don't care why category cabin I am in I just want to be on the ship.

We had an 11C on the Wonder in September, and it was great. It was very quiet down there, even though we were close to the elevator. A bonus was that on the night the seas were rough, we only felt a gently swaying. The folks at our dinner table who were on the 6th and 7th floors described that night as being very unpleasant. Our waiter told us that the lower you are, the less motion you get from choppy seas, so that's a bonus they don't mention in the hype videos. :woohoo::woohoo:
