BWV Sleeping Arrangements

Hello! My little family of 4 will be staying at a studio at BWV this April. My oldest is 9 and my youngest will be (almost) 2 at the time of our stay.

I know Disney will provide a PnP/crib but I'm considering bringing a twin air mattress for my youngest to sleep on. We did this when we visited Buffalo earlier this year and it worked great. He needs me to lay down with him to fall asleep (yes, he's spoiled ), and I don't have to worry about him falling. Ok, so my question...

Will a twin air mattress fit in the closet? I don't intend to shut the door to the closet, but it would be nice to have the air mattress out of the way during the day and then if he sleeps in there (door open, I promise!), we can use the rest of the room more easily at nap time.

Hard to say definitively w/out closet measurements...from from my memory of numerous stays in BWV studios, I'd say "probably not," particularly if you have to lie down w/him...but you may be able to "stuff it in" if you move the high chair, pack 'n play, vacuum and luggage holder from the closet floor--you'd certainly "have to" leave the door open as I'm reasonably certain the depth is not wide enough even for a twin mattress...

It's probably not quite long enough either, but you can probably "curl the ends" a bit and your baby can sleep in the middle...but as noted, it might be hard if you have to lie down w/him...altho you could probably lie down (w/some question about your own comfort!) on the floor perpendicular to him til he falls asleep...he'll be smack "in the path" to the bathroom, but if he's a sound sleeper (or, if necessary, if you're willing to go down to the lobby rest rooms while he's sleeping) that should be ok...

Well, now that I googled an image of the closet, it isn't at all what I was picturing. I think you're right, there's no way it'd fit. Back to the drawing board.

My sister has a 2 year old daughter and purchased a toddler sized aero bed that fits her perfectly. It is much smaller than a twin sized bed, and would probably fit in the BWV closet.

But you still have to put all the junk from the closet somewhere. And there is a lot of junk in that closet. To me it would be sleeping in a coffin. Very narrow (with all that clothes above me).

2 in the queen bed older one in the pull out couch, & the little one in the lil bench which doubles as a bed.

My twins who are 9 just did this , in August. My son loved the bench and said it was comfortable. Hopefully this helps out.

Yes, just 4 of us but trying to keep the kiddos from sharing a bed since the little one flails about as well as the reasons above. Is the bench in all studio rooms? I thought it was sort of luck of the draw whether you got a room with one of those?

It's only in dedicated studios, not lockoffs. There is about 1/2 of each. The bench is small, I'd be worried about him falling off it.

I agree that the bench is small and the children could fall, but maybe you can put the matress of the bench on the floor to make a little bed.

No, you can't remove the mattress from the bench.

You could remove the mattress from the bench in our dedicated studio in the Village Green area in October.

The dedicated studio would work for your family dynamics - but you won't know if you will have one until you get there.

If you cant remove the matress from the bench, you could move the bench against the bed to make a "wall" to make the sleeping arrangement more safe

I have a small toddler aero...would fit back in the closet AFTER use at night. It had built up side, so they don't fall out. Got them on line at disney store many years ago. One is Cars and One is Tink.

Why can't the 2 year old and the 9 year old sleep both in the pull out sofa, after a day of walking at Disney mine sleep like the dead, very little flailing!

I do not understand how anyone would consider that bench comfortable, for a gnome maybe and a pottery one at that!

Option 2: Fold up those thick quilted comforters and put the 2 year old in between the bed and the sofa, with extra pillows on either side, then he can flail away! And give the 9 year old the sofa bed! Folded several times over those comfortless are pretty thick!

Oh man, not my kid. It doesn't matter HOW much energy he expends during the day, he's just a crappy sleeper. The comforter suggestion is a good one too though, thanks! He's a little guy, I'm sure we'll figure it out. I'm looking into those toddler aero beds too.
