A little info on Monsieur Paul (formerly Bistro de Paris), to open Dec. 10

Some of his signature dishes and may be more expensive - sounds promising. Wonder whether it will be on the DDP like BdP was.....

Sounds promising - any word on whether it will be on the DDP like BdP was?

I sure hope it doesn't use DDP like the way BdP had been for so long. I heard that once it began taking the DDP, everything started to slip. It would be nice to have a restaurant back in a park that doesn't feel the need to give in and cater to families.

Thank you for the update. Change is slow in coming to WDW as a whole but it's happening, and I look forward to trying this restaurant. Surely it will be expensive, and hopefully not on the dining plan. Restaurants on the DDP seem to have such restricted menus, but in any case, I'll try it at least once.

Tried BOG for dinner the week of Thanksgiving and I was pleasantly surprised. We all had a very nice meal, the venue is beautiful and the wait staff very attentive. I expect no less at Monsieur Pau's

Thanks for the update. An odd name, I must say. If one wanted to honor Mr. Bocuse, then why not call it that. "Paul" is a tad informal. Not even sure his close family members call him that. He is, and always will be "Chef Bocuse" or simply "Chef". Sort of the way one is always referred to as "General" once one achieves that rank.

Thank you so much for the update! Looking forward to trying it - we have reservations for Dec. 15!

I agree!

The wdw restaurant guide is listing mons. Paul and showing the dinner menu

Were you looking at the old Bistro menu? WDW dining shows Monsieur Paul as an invalid name when you search restaurants.

Paul's is taking the DDP. And I believe that it's named the way it is because there already exists a Paul Bocuse restaurant in Lyons, France. We have reservations for 12/23. I'll post info when I come back.

Just curious as to whether you booked under Monsieur Paul as I can't get onto the Disney Dining & Reservation site at the moment. We have ADR's for BdP in January - just not sure if it will transfer over to the new name...

Im VERY excited about this restaurant. I LOVE the food in France! I cant wait to dine here. Thanks for posting! :cheer2:

For those with ADRs, PLEASE post reviews with pics. Thanks!

Surely. We have one for BdP on Christmas. A bit of a gamble, but I'm hoping it will still be great

You cannot currently book reservations under the name Monseiur Paul on the Disney site, but you can book under Bistro de Paris.

I am assuming they will transfer over as there is no longer any such thing as Bistro de Paris, they probably just haven't gotten around to changing the name on the website yet.

DH and I still have an ADR for the 7th. According to cast members at Dining it is still in the system for Bistro de Paris. If I try to schedule another ADR for that date/time, the online system tells me I already have one at Bistro and asks if I want to cancel it.

We'll see what happens on Friday......
