Good Mornin!! I slept great last night!!

1 week from today and PJ will be home for break.. finals start this Thursday... and her finals fall on the first 3 days....2 of her finals are papers so no final tests...

Supposed to hit 70 here today.. I'm all for the warmer weather for a while to keep my electric bill (heating) to a minimum!

Today:

DS16 up and movin'.. he wants to drive.. he has to get up earlier
DS12 up and movin'...DH will take him to school
once over house
DS16 to to school today
DH to take DS12 to school
await DS16's text he is safe at school ~ safely there!
small nap
wrap some Christmas gifts
pull out our elves

upload cameras
work on scrap challenge.. pulled papers out but didn't finish it because I got into watching the Christmas movies on lifetime..
lunch with DH
pick up DS12
DS16 to drive home after some of the nutty teen drivers leave the lot.. they are dangerous... they terrify me even when my car is parked in the lot... My gosh I didn't realize that cutting acrossed the parking space is now the new norm.... and if your car is parked where they want to cross YOU are in the wrong... ~ home 10 minutes after the bell w/ no issues!

program DVR to record Disney's Prep and Landing (1 & 2) that are on 12/9!!!

yea!!! for you DD getting home early - here Freshman English Exam is next Friday - so she really did do great on her exam schedule

World Showcase title LO is done
it bugged me all last night - I knew it would so I didn't put it in the albums

boys are at school, DH is going to work today
I"m about to get ready for work myself

boys have horseback riding
last ride of the year is Wednesday

next up on scrapping is my snowball set - got the paper piecing done, they just didn't work on that challange LO

no idea what is for supper

Nan, Yeah for the driver this morning!

I got my tree up and decorated and the outside of the house done this weekend. Was going to do my kitchen yesterday, but woke up with another headache and just couldn't tackle it. It will have to wait until next weekend.

Had a good weekend with my girl. NO texting at all! She was happy to be home, sleeping in her own bed with her kitty, watching TV and playing video games. She must have watched 5 movies It's good to have her back. (We picked up her pictures from the weekend, she got a good one of that boy ).

Sarah doesn't even start her finals until next week, and she has a concert on the night of Dec 13 so we won't see her until the 14th

Rachel received a scholarship over the weekend She still hasn't completely made up her mind yet about where she wants to go...I see more campus visits in our near future

Woohoo!!!

Disney Merchandise called me.. and they were able to track down DS16's splash mountain shirt... It won' be here by Christmas but it could be... The CM was awesome!!!

For all of you who have college experience, where do I begin to look for scholarships? Ty has visited the guidance office and they won't have any info available until March 1st. HUH? Isn't that getting a little late?

I've heard so much in warnings about scams when it comes to scholarships that I'm not sure where to look. Any trusted sites?

Dance studio- only going to drop off paperwork and money for those that bothered to turn in on time. let the treasurer decide how she wants to handle the rest.

Yes, alot of them come out in March.... our school sends a spread sheet home everytime they find a new one...


Fastweb.com is relaible...
collegeboard.com will have some info..

I will ask PJ what she we used last year and what she is using now... still need to obtain them every year... some will be recurring provided you meet the requirements but ONLY if they say so upfront.. if not, they are a one time scholarship...

Do NOT, can't emphasise that a enough, do NOT pay for a scholarship nor a company to search for scholarships..

Go to your local library too.. they should have a book of scholarships..

I know we are headed there over Christmas break to start both kids looking.. I'm hoping to find some that DS16 can apply for as a Junior...

Thanks Nan. That will at least get me (us) a good start. The guidance counselor we were assigned at the high school is the one everyone says is the worst to work with....it figures!

I feel so helpless and lost in all of this.
