I remember your sketches a few pages back. What a fantastic job they did. Love your cake design. Happy B-day to your little one.

I emailed Chef Brian about a cake for my DD birthday dinner at CRT the second week of December (I attached a picture of one I liked). He sent me a picture back of their princess package cake, which I really didn't want.
I emailed him back a different Ariel cake I really liked that I found on this thread and I have not heard back from him yet, it's been a few days. How long does it normally take to hear back?
Thanks for any help, this is my first time ordering a specialty cake.

The younger kid is a toddler, so we might do a simple cake in Epcot. Don't recall if we'll be at the Grill. If need be, we might pickup a cake in Boardwalk because we don't like whipped frosting.
DH was originally thinking of the tower with Rapunzel's hair falling down and spelling out our girl's name on the cake. After seeing how many of the Disney images seem to be printed on a flat surface, I'm wondering if I have to provide the exact image or substitute an image of Rapunzel only just get the theme instead.

Yacht & Beach Club delivers to Garden Grill.
I'm a little fuzzy on the question here, so forgive me if I'm missing the point... A cake with a fondant sculpted tower on top will be astronomically expensive, if they will even do it. Are you asking if you should provide the image you want so they can screen print it on the cake? Because a good compromise between flat screen print and a crazy-over-the-top fondant sculpted tower might be a traditional cake with a standing screen print of the tower on white chocolate, then plastic figures in front of the screen print (you provide the figures).
lurkyloo said:People on these cake threads have mentioned mailing in figures before, but as to the rules on what types are acceptable, I'd suggest giving them a call. Only the pastry chef/Private Dining can tell you for sure what they allow. Post #2 has all the numbers by location.

The first part of the Epcot section explains that ALL restaurants have the same cake offerings EXCEPT the restaurants listed. Which means that if it's not listed, you get what's described in the bullet points at the top of the Epcot section.
How long does it usually take to hear from GF on a cake? I called yesterday morning and left a voicemail on Pat's machine for a cake to be delivered to our room on 12/10. Just wondering when I should try back if I don't hear anything.
Thanks!

By all means, leave her another message, but I feel quite confident based on my experiences with her that she will get back to you in a few days.

Do they always write the name on a parchment like add-on or the cake base instead of on the cake directly? This is new to me. Guess it's for last minute changes or corrections.
Thought only the 3-D sculptured figurines were in white chocolate. Also didn't know what the screen was until you explained. Thought it might be some edible sugar paper sort of thing. Might suggest to DH a picture image of Rapunzel daydreaming at the window or by herself with the piles of hair like I've seen on some of the t-shirts for the image, and add on the hair effect. Have found on another cake on this board which shows the braid wrapped around the edges of the cake.
