I loved seeing your MVMCP pictures. IMO, you are smart not to go to MVMCP this year. We spent a lot of extra $$ on that this year, and it was not as enjoyable as when we went in the past. Too crowded, long lines, etc. I think they may be selling more tickets than in the past!

And, we have officially decided on the Dolphin. It is paid in full! I am a little leery of not using ME. We will be using a car service to get us to the Dolphin. I am so used to ME making getting luggage and getting to the hotel so easy! But I am excited that I got a teacher's discount, as well as being able to walk to Epcot and DHS. Only 27 more days for me!

We enjoyed MVMCP when we went, but not enough to justify the cost of doing it again. It would be over $200. I really would like to see the parade again, but not for $200+!! It was pretty crowded when we did the party too. The character lines were huge!! I hope Jodi's party night isn't too crowded!

I thought you might pick the Dolphin! You'll have to let me know how it is. I've really been wanting to try it (or the Swan), especially since I can get the teacher discount!! Be sure to take lots of pics.

I have been to MVMCP once (2009) and want to go back! I know that some parties are really crowded, but I would like to do it for the atmosphere and such - the parade is worth it, plus I LOVE Holiday Wishes. I heard the podcast guys say this year was improved over past years - better cookies even!

I just want to go back at Christmas time - I think I'm ready to even brave the crowds during Christmas break time! I know, I must have lost my mind.

Well, it won't be this year anyway. There's lots of great pictures and videos on the DIS for me to enjoy!

How's the forecast looking???

That's not to bad. They were over $300 ONE way for April vacation.
I think we're going to do Christmas week next year since DH will be working there now. It's so crazy!!!

I didn't love Holiday Wishes. In fact I really missed not seeing the regular Wishes that year!

I'm not sure I would ever be able to brave the Christmas break crowds!! I've heard there are 2 hour waits to use the bathrooms at the parks that week. I can not even imagine. I'm already worried the week we are going is going to be super crowded.

The forecast looked slightly better today. But not much. If it improves some each day we should be all set!!

It is a wonderful atmosphere at the party! But yes, so very expensive. Just couldn't justify it on this trip that was supposed to be short, cheap, and no frills!!

I would love to do the Halloween party sometime. I hear it's even better than the Christmas one.

I need to go look!!! But yeah, like you I'm having a hard time giving them too much credit when it changes so drastically each day. I can see a slight change daily a week or so out, but changing by 10 degrees each day, that's basically just guessing!

I also forgot to say that I liked the MVMCP but like you probably wouldn't do it again just to see the parade.
I'm glad the forecast has changed I hope it stays that way

On another note we told the boys today about DH's new job possibility. They took it well! I was almost in tears but they were fine. DS15 said he knew about it b/c he heard us talking about it before. (he has his earphones in and he was in the other room) He said I could hear everything..... Damn kids!!!
DS11 hasn't stopped talking about it asking when can he go??? I'm glad he's happy I just hope it stays that way. I'm so nervous.

Wow we have been in WDW at or near the same time several times!!


That is so great that the kids took it so well. Makes life so much easier. I know when we almost moved to Charlotte last year DS13 was miserable, therefore so were we. It was rough. I'm glad your boys are on-board and I hope it stays that way!!

More good news today!!!! Just got the mail and we have been chosen for the FP+ limited time only test period!!!

I know they did it awhile back in the fall and I just read the other day that they were going to be selecting people who will be there between Dec 11 and Dec 15, for another test phase. Figured it was a fat chance that we would be chosen, but we were!!

Yup, I knew it! That forecast has to be this close to be more accurate. Plus I think there had been some tropical weather out in the ocean they had been watching, so I bet it went away. Let's hope this forecast sticks!! Pack your shorts and cute dresses!!


I'll be anxious to hear how the FP+ goes. I love FPs generally, and on our last trip we used them but generally tried to stay in the same area of the park because most of the return times (at least early in the day) were within a couple hours. I didn't want to have to trek back and forth too much, or miss our allotted time - they were enforcing it. We heard a couple of upset and confused people. I always feel bad for them - the uniformed - but then I want them to get out of my way!
