Hey everyone, my DBF and I are doing a day each a US and IOA, was just wondering whats the typical wait time around May 6-10? We wil be attending for two days between Tuesday, May 7 and Friday,May 10 with the exact 2 days to be determined, and plan to be there as the parks open each day.

These are the rides/attractions we want to do at each park:

Universal Studios
Disaster
ET
Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket
Men in Black
Terminator 2
The Simpsons
Revenge of the Mummy
Shrek 4D

Islands of Adventure
Forbidden Journey
Dragon Challenge
Spiderman
Dr.Doom's Fearfall
Ripsaw Falls
Incredible Hulk
Jurassic Park
Popeye Bilge Rat Barges

Can anyone tell me the expected wait times for any of these rides? And for the seasoned vets, whats the best plan of action if I want to accomplish all this? ie what order of attractions is best?

Thanks!

If you go on a Friday, your wait times may be around an hour since there are many school groups who go to the parks on Fridays in May. During the week, the waits are probably around half an hour or under.

I don't think you'll have any problems doing all those attractions in early May but I would suggest sticking to mid-week days if you can...just to keep the lines as short as possible.

As far as a plan of action...at IOA I would suggest starting at Marvel Island and working your way around the park. Leave HP until the end of the day since so many onsite guests get early entry, that area is always crowded first thing in the morning. Crowds tend to die down in the afternoon and early evening.

The Studios is the same way...start at the front and work your way around the park. For example...start at Despicable Me and end with either the Horror Make Up Show or T-2...which ever you prefer.

I would also suggest getting to the parks at opening to make the most of both days.

Thanks! I had heard Fridays are a popular day for school groups, but its nice to know how much they increase the waittimes, generally. An hour isn't TOO bad for an attraction, so if we have to go on a Friday, nice to know it will still be worthwhile :)

Thank you very much! We plan to be there at park opening, but on the day at IOA i was planning to go to WWOHP immediately. Maybe your suggestion will work better and we can end off our day there. We might try to do US and IOA on Tuesday and Wednesday of our visit, based on the info on both of your posts.

So happy to know a general expected wait time for these specific days. Makes my planning much easier. I'm not a commando type person but I like to have a general idea of how I can find the smallest lines, or how much time I should reasonably expect to spend in line.

Be careful with the WWoHP. We have gone later in the day and have seen both shorter lines and longer lines. I can't find a consistency here. Ollivanders is always packed when we go.

I would personally get to the park before opening and head to WWoHP. I would do Ollivanders if that is of interest and then ride FJ. Then I would go to Marvel Island and work my way around the park. I would also go back to WWoHP later in the day if only to shop and ride the coasters. If the park stays open late WWoHP is gorgeous at night. Plus you may want to ride FJ more than once.

Just another possibility. :)

Thanks! We aren't doing the Olivanders thing, mostly going for FJ and Dragon Challenge, and to explore some shops/scenery. We don't have kids and aren't diehard fans, but I love any sort of theme park coaster and we have both seen all the movies, so it will be cool too see it all in person.

Speaking of wait times, anyone ever eat at the Burger King on CityWalk? Just wondering how corwded it tends to be. Figured we might want to escape the park for a bit so i figured a quick lunch there then maybe a couple of cold beverages at a nearby restaurant/bar
