Olivia's at OKW

We went to Olivia's at OKW tonight. It's was so good.:thumbsup2. We are not on the dining plan and planned on sharing our meals. Three adults: we shared the crab cakes, Caesar salad and shrimp poor boy sandwich. All of our selections were great. The salad was very large, even though it was on the appetizer section. The crab cakes were small but full of flavor. We choose the chips with the shrimp sandwich.
The restaurant is very pretty with the holiday decorations. It was crowded, but we only had to wait about 15 minutes without an ADR. We arrived at about 7:40. Don't hesitate to try this great place. Have you been there too? What do you think?

We usually stay at OKW and have eaten at Olivia's many times. They sometimes serve a fried chicken that I love. I also love the little Key Lime tart for dessert. They used to have prime rib that was very good, but I haven't seen that the last few times we've eaten there. I agree - the place is a gem.

I love Olivia's...a hidden gem in my opinion. Staying at SSR my next trip and we will take a nice boat ride over there for dinner. Good food and very friendly service!!

I have only eaten at Olivia's for breakfast (a few times). I've had the most amazing Eggs Benedict, Banana Bread French toast and Bloody Mary there. Amazing.

I love Olivia's  I had the delicious prime rib twice in August along with the yummy Olivia's potatoes :dance3:

SSSHHHHH!!

Really, Olivia's is the best kept secret on all of property.
I have been preaching Olivia's on DIS for a year now.

The servers and Managers seem to really like their jobs and customers.
The food id great. We ate there Tuesday and I think I found an all new favorite dessert, The Mascarpone Cheesecake. I use to think the Ohana Bread Pudding was the king until Tuesday.

I wish I would have been able to try the bread pudding for dessert, I was just too full. I have also tried the banana bread french toast in the past. We were very happy overall with our stay at OKW. :thumbsup2

I believe I've seen that although Olivia's is an all-day menu, the Prime Rib is one of those "after-5-pm-only" dishes.

But what is the Meatloaf Special?

They were able to pack up dessert for us. Too much food and sooo good! So we opened our dessert later in our room for a late night snack. Yummy!

Posts like this are why it is becoming increasingly important to make ADRs there! ;). We always make them just to be safe.

We eat at Olivia's for breakfast at least twice on our trips. Love the Banana Bread French Toast! :goodvibes

give the seafood omlet a try. I have had it three times this year and it was amazing. If you are into sharing it could easily be split between two people. We had dinner there two weeks ago and I had the red grouper which was delicious and my adventerous wife had the bacon cheeseburger. Their burgers are one of the best on property. The homemade chips are so good!!

Just returned from Disney, we had 2 meals at Olivia's this trip. Arrival day lunch for 7, thick cheddar cheese /bacon burgers, french dip & finally got tp try Olivia's fried chicken special.

Dinner, again for 7, salmon, pork chop (really flavorful & juicy), and the NY Strip & caesar salad.

Love it!

Was the grouper a special? I didn't see it on the menu.

We too have become Olivia's fans. I'm not sure how it is that this restaurant has escaped the decline and same-ness so many of the other WDW eateries have, but I hope it never changes. Let's just keep this among us Dis-ers.** :earsboy:

** Those of you who aren't Dis-boards regulars who have stumbled on to this thread via a search engine, please note that the password from a secret decoder ring is necessary to book an ADR. To obtain this ring, Google "Gollum".

LOVE it! So funny... especially since I'm watching the Return of the King...

Anyways, I think it is time to check out Olivia's on my next trip to OKW. As an owner, it seems rather bogus I haven't been there yet...
