I Don't Know, I Don't Speak Wind!!

I've got exciting news. We have decide to buy season passes this Christmas. So were surprising them for a weekend trip over NYE. We plan on watching the fireworks at the poloy because of how much fun you guys always have there. Plus were staying at Shades Of Green.

I just have to chime in about the DIS and add to the thankfulness. It is a warm and inviting group of Disney crazed folks. Just my kind of people!

Crazy - yes, I will admit to that one. ::yes::
Warm? Depends on the time of the year. ;)

Hope you have a good week! Is this your last day of school for the week? This is it for me. I had four kids out yesterday who started their travels early, and I know of another who will for sure be out today. We're just going to do a bunch of 'fun' Thanksgiving worksheets, so that no one misses out on anything new. Should be an easy day! :thumbsup2

Hi, MeMom! I have to agree with you; I am so thankful for the DIS and all our DIS friends as well. I have taken away some lifelong friendships! As you know, I have so much more to be thankful for this year. It is great to be able to share it with our DIS family. :lovestruc

This will be the year to enjoy old traditions and start new ones of your own.

So glad you have found special friends here. :)

I would love a hippo meet! :) My dad would probably even bring the glasses. I wouldn't even have to ask him nicely; he'd just bring them and wait for someone to notice!

Glad tomorrow is your last day of work for a few days! I'm seriously counting down to Wednesday. We have eight toddlers in our class, but we know for sure of three who won't be in on Wednesday...one of the three is our "challenging" one ;) so, while I love her, I'm super relieved she won't be in, as is my co-teacher. I really, really love my toddlers, but wow, I'm so ready for the four-day weekend!

A bunch of little ones will wear a person out! :jumping1: We totally know what you mean! Enjoy your break!

I totally agree!!!!:thumbsup2
I'm still here!! Behind as usual!!! I'm still trying to figure out what's going on with my laptop!! I think I'm going to try to set it back to the defaults and see if that solves my problems. I still have a desktop to fall back on if it doesn't work.

My internet keeps restarting, and it's a pain. It's my computer, though, I know. Hope you get yours running smoothly so that you can come around more. :goodvibes

Very cool! What a great surprise, and thanks for sharing the good news! Those fireworks are awesome. You will have to share a picture or two with us when you can. It's so neat to see the whole scope of the fireworks all the way across. Only then do you realize how massive the show is.

It was a little chilly on Everest this am :)

One of Jill's good friends is down there this week, and she posted a FB picture with her kids in jeans and jackets, so we were thinking it must be a little chilly. Not good for kids who want to swim, but good for adding to the holiday atmosphere. :)

Is it okay if I say 'I hate you' in a friendly way, since you are in my park?

Absolutely ok. Yesterday was a little chilly, the sun never broke through. We were in future world in the am and studios at night- changed to jeans. I have done ankle capris both mornings. I am at the pool now and there are plenty swimming, but not every seat taken.

Managed Everest 2x this am, with the safari in between. The guys went on again after flights of wonder...I had an iced tea and glazed donut to settle my stomach.., I really shouldn't do that ride more than once :)

I don't get around to posting very often but wanted to stop by and say how much my family really enjoys your trip reports. Thank you so much! We are finally caught up. I am so thankful for the DIS as well. I could not have planned this upcoming trip very well without it!

Thank you for sharing this! We are headed to the parks on Monday and I was wondering what the weather was like. I've been leaning towards jeans with short sleeved tops for our fam. Despite the cool mornings, I have a feeling that my kiddos will still be in the pool (notice I didn't say that I would be ;) )!

We will be there too on NYE! Elena as well, I'm not sure who else though. We are having dinner at Ohana, at 9:00 then down to the beach!

Yes, this is my last day until next Monday!
I had two gone today, one was sick and the other out of town.
I'm looking forward to some time to just relax and get ready for the Christmas rush!

Once in a lifetime was enough for me on Everest!

We have been in Disney World when it has been too hot to wear any clothes - although, don't panic, we still did ;) - and we have been there when the snow on Main Street could very well have been real. It's interesting to see lifeguards fully covered in their red jumpsuits watching people swim.

We are glad you enjoy the reports. We enjoy sharing them and making new friends through the DIS. :) It is certainly a helpful tool in planning a trip. When we are there during 'iffy' times, we start out with light jackets in the mornings, shed them in the middle of the day, and then pull them out again in the evening, and that does the job. Hope you have a great time!!!

I think you should take a 'flatty family' with you... :wave2:

I had five out yesterday. I know two were traveling and one had a doctor appointment. One other had a cold on Monday, so that family probably just slept in, figuring we wouldn't be doing anything huge - and he is an A student. Not sure about the last one. I hope all of my kids stay well and have good family times throughout the break.

Still in this park.

Where are we now?

IMG_1385.jpg

Random Dinosaur picture, since we weren't riding at the moment.

IMG_1386.jpg

Someone wanted one of these.

IMG_1389.jpg

Here's the someone.

IMG_1390.jpg

A friend who was checking to see if had scraps.

IMG_1393.jpg

That carnival area that a lot of people don't like.

IMG_1398.jpg

Leaving the dinos, we went in search of things furry and striped.

IMG_1402.jpg

IMG_1403.jpg

Tigers look more silly and playful than fierce when they are sprawled out like this.

IMG_1405.jpg

I think these are really beautiful creatures.

IMG_1406.jpg

IMG_1407.jpg

IMG_1408.jpg

Time to meet up with the rest of our party.

IMG_1409.jpg

I think we hung out there while John and Brooklynn used those Everest Fastpasses.

Some more 'hanger outers' - but they provide entertainment for others with their hanging out.

IMG_1410.jpg

Oh wow, I've never seen the plants spelling "Dino" with the license plates!

Seeing that random Dinosaur ride photo makes me wonder what it'd be like to work at the register for ride photos. They'd get to see all the silly pictures!

IMG_1412.jpg

IMG_1413.jpg

Next, we would see bugs. Very large and very loud bugs.

IMG_1415.jpg

IMG_1416.jpg

A million billion bugs.

IMG_1417.jpg

As with humans, some ham for the cam, and some hide away in the background. ;)

IMG_1418.jpg

Rockin' the 3D's.

Uh oh!

IMG_1428.jpg

IMG_1431.jpg

Now let's find a parade spot.

Next time: We love a parade!

Creative use of license plates, huh? Certainly fits with that area - tacky in a fun way!

As for seeing the pictures, yeah, I bet they get a good laugh out of many of them. :goodvibes

Taking a flat family is an idea, but I would rather have the real thing sharing dinner and fireworks with us.
As always, you are more than welcome to come down for any part of our trip!

Yay! I am all caught up.. I was only 25 pages behind...:rotfl:

I am also very thankful to the wonderful disfriends i have met over the years.
I would also like to say an extra prayer for all of those who have been displaced since the hurricane. I have been volunteering in Seabright, NJ and it is just so sad to see the devastation. I am very humbled and appreciate ever little thing that I have now... you never know if it will go away.

i am leaving for Florida today. It has been a tough few weeks (well of not the weekend I was in Disney lol), so I am thankful for this vacation.. Disney here I come!!!

If we could, we would go four times a year - spring, summer, fall, and Christmas - but we just can't do it. I think we can keep breathing if we can go every other Christmas and a have a long summer trip each year. The bad part is when it comes to spring and fall. Jill likes fall better, and I like spring better. How I wish we could do all of them every year, but right now, it's not doable. I told you I was thinking about that extra job, but then I thought about how much I treasure my weekends, whether they are just relaxing at home or seeing the girls. I'm not ready to give that up. I'll have to think of something else.

I wish I could be doing the manual labor part of the helping right now. I don't have much money to give, but this week I have a ton of free time. I could be helping however needed.

Have a blast in The Sunshine State!!! :cool1:

The girls look adorable with their bug eyes! :goodvibes I wish you guys could have seen my 2 aunts watching It's Tough To Be A Bug when we were on our trip - they were hysterical They were shouting and screaming and laughing so hard! My auntie in her 70's was amazed by the "little fella" butterfly at the beginning and asked me "can you see him too or is he just for me?" When the bugs leave the theatre first (from under your hiney!), she screamed bloody murder and grabbed my leg so hard she left a bruise! :rotfl:

Memom

That gave me a giggle - bought back funny memories of our trip to WDW 2 years ago - it was so hot (we dont get that sort of heat over here) and our first day in the Magic Kingdom - I thought I was going to pass out in the heat so my mother was pouring cold water over my head. You can imagine the looks we got :rotfl: I could just see people thinking whats that woman doing to that poor girl in the wheelchair :rotfl2:

Even worse though - for some reason the rest of the family were lining up to have a go - whats up with that :confused3

Anyway - gave me a giggle.

A bit early but I just want to wish you and everyone else in DIStown a Happy Thanksgiving and to say how thankful I am to have found you all - living my Disney dreams through you all over there.

Have a good break (sorry bit long winded)

It's Tough to Be A Bug creeped me out the first time I went on it...and I never went back!!! Those signs are cute though!

Happy Thanksgiving!!! Hope you all have a great day! :goodvibes
