O.k. I will tell you what attractions our 12 yo DS loves. He was 8 on our first trip.
Epcot
*Mission Space - we do green less intense version - if you have thrill lovers that don't mind spinning do orange side
* Test Track
* Soaring
*Sum of all Thrills in Innoventions
*Agent P missions in World Showcase
Hollywood Studios
* Star Tours - an absolute must if you have Star Wars fans
*Rockin Roller Coaster
* Indiana Jones show
* Lights, Motor, Action show - it may be closed at that time. I heard they
were closing it.
* Tower of Terror - we actually don't do this one, but it's a great thrill ride
if you like big drops.
* Toy Story Midway Mania - Do first or get a fastpass right away
Potential long waits
Animal Kingdom
* Safari ride
* Expedition Everest - really cool and not that intense of a roller coaster
in my opinion in case you have anyone afraid of the coasters. Not a
kiddie coaster but great theme and a lot of fun
* Flights of Wonder show - funny - we skipped it for years and went last
year for the 1st time and loved it
*the animal viewing paths Pangani and Maharajah
* Dinosaur
* Kali River Rapids - be warned high potential to get extremely wet
Magic Kingdom
* Space Mountain
* Buzz Lightyear
* Monsters Inc Laugh Floor
* Pirates of the Carribbean
* Big Thunder mountain Railroad
* Jungle Cruise
*Haunted Mansion
I'm sure I have forgotten something. My best advice is get a guide book or go online to the disney site and let them look at attraction descriptions.
If you have 8 days you have plenty of time to see a lot. Don't stress and enjoy yourself.
Definitely start looking at menus and make some dining reservations you may not be able to get into places at the last minute.
Some of our son's favorite places are "Ohana, Le Cellier, and 50's PrimeTime
Cafe. The food at 50's has been a definite disappointment the last few times. The atmosphere and interaction can be great, but we decided not to go on our next visit because of the food quality. TRex at Downtown Disney is fun also especially if you have any dinosaur lovers.
Hope you have a great trip.
