Thanks HappyGal!

Jays2013, we are staying at port orleans riverside. How about you?

Art of Animation. Seriously considered Riverside, though! :)

Are you surprising your boys? We decided against it, although I don't think they fully comprehend it yet. :lmao: We're doing Disney movie nights and just bought them the Birnbaum Kids Guide for Christmas.

My almost 2 year old son now is beginning a love for Pooh and Tigger, is there somewhere to meet them besides CP? We already have two character breakfasts booked, don't really want to do anymore.

We've found them at the UK pavilion in Epcot, over in the toy store area. Other than that, the only places I've seen them is Crystal Palace and the 1900 Park Fare breakfast.

We are surprising them!!! My oldest will turn 8 3 days before we leave and the youngest will turn 4 while we are in Disney.

We will tell them when we get to the airport. They have never been on a plane since we drive to most of our vacations. They wont have a clue!

Just this morning, the kids were asking when we could take them to Disney! I told them maybe in a year or so..hahaha

I may be crazy.

I found a SW flight for $100 arrival and $110 depature. The arrival is a non-stop. I changed the arrival flight I had booked to the $100 flight (cost difference $7 in my favor). Actually, $84 in savings since I had to change the flight date anyway and they are $184 currently. I am planning on booking the departure flight soon.

The catch is that these flights are out of Austin. Austin if 5.5 hours from my house and an extra 3 hours farther than Dallas. It saves $300 and gives us at least one non-stop. The arrival times are the same as the more expensive Dallas flight. We would be paying for parking at Dallas anyway so that is a wash. I doubt we would have gone down the night before like we will now, but it's possible. Real savings is $126. My DH is all for it. I'm thinking of it as a third vacation destination:)

Is this taking saving money too far?

That's so great, they're gonna love it!!!

I do the same thing to my kids. We talk about Disney all the time (they don't know we're going) and I always say "maybe we'll go again in like 2 or 3 years" and they're like "Nooooooo!!! Not THAT long!" and I just shrug and am like "it's a lot of money, it takes a few years to save for it." ;)

Got our confirmation!

We're staying at the POP Century from April 23-30, 2013. I have several ADR's made. However, I won't post here until I have the opportunity to go over plans with my travel companions. :)

I'm so excited!!

Feeling buyers remorse about our reservation at BC...basically because of all the money we are spending on Christmas, coupled with the fact that both DH and I need new tires for our cars....sooooooo....we changed our 10 night reservation to POR Royal Rooms!!! :yay::dance3:

And the kicker....now we are PAID IN FULL!!!!! :cheer2:

PAID IN FULL! 3 of the most magical words around! :thumbsup2

We've stayed at both YC and POR Royal Rooms and have had lovely, magical vacations at both. In fact, we absolutely adored the royal rooms! They were so cozy. And, nothing beats staying in a freshly clean and refurbished room. It's hard to enjoy vacation if you are stressed and preoccupied with money so I think you made the right decision!

This time we are heading back to YC mainly so our kids can try SAB, but I wouldn't hesitate to take them back to POR!

That's good to hear!! :goodvibes. My wallet definitely appreciates our move to POR. I think that we will probably reserve deluxe resort stays for shorter trips or special occasions. But, where this is another 11 day trip...the deluxe price tag just becomes a little oppressive...::yes::

I'm just glad that we can sit back and wait till April now, and Disney awaits all paid for!!! pixiedust:

We are getting closer to having the family completely booked with flights departing on Easter Sunday.

Found my parents flights on SW out of Islip, Long Island for $140 each way. Found DH and me flights TO Orlando on AT for $128 each (holding out on our return flight depending on what day we decide to come back). Now we just have to check on flights around DC for my brother. Yahoo!!

I've been looking around the Dis hoping to see news of some April discounts. Looks like nothing is out there yet except maybe an AP rate, which would not work for us. The waiting continues. :goodvibes
