November 2012 Trip planners #4~almost Disney time! Everyone welcome!

I have to say I'm loving Photopass plus - it's great to have the ride photos put on the card!

The PP+ was handsdown the best purchase we made! I just sent away for my CD yesterday-- we have over 400 images! I took 2 days to edit the pictures and I can't wait to get them back. I love the ride photos, I loved getting the hard copies at certain restaurants and I LOVE LOVE LOVE that for ONCE I am in almost every photo!

We really made a point to take pictures everywhere!

Have fun! :cool1:

So yesterday I took the time to write out daily lists of things that need to be accomplished (color coded of course) before Thanksgiving, before our trip and before Christmas. Breaking it down and assigning days really keeps me from freaking out with the amount that is to be done. It really saves me time in the long run to have a plan mapped out. That way I don't spend half the day trying to decide what has priority. Since I recently added a dental appt, a massage and an eye appt. before our trip, I really had to re-budget my time. Hope all is going well for all of you. Squirrel will be surprising his DDs very soon. I'm excited for them!:cool1:

Also, I just changed one ADR. We dropped LTT and picked up Grand Floridian Cafe. I was reading on another thread how under-rated this place is, so thought I'd give it a try since we've eaten at LTT a couple of times before. That makes 3 new restaurants we'll be trying this trip. (I get in such a rut going to the same places every year!)

Well we did MVMCP last night - we really didn't get our money's worth - we were just so tired!! I think that it was a mistake doing it so soon after our arrival! We did have a wander through new fantasyland - did Ariels grotto and VOTLM - I loved that ride - so colourful and I love the songs! We had a pork shank and lefous brew! Pork was gorgeous!

We'd had breakfast at crystal palace which was great and did loads of rides - some of which were new to us as a family - did big thunder mountain and splash mountain which was the first time out youngest was tall enough!

Chef mickey this morning!

Thanks for the update. So sorry you were too tired to really enjoy MNSSHP. I just love the parade and fireworks and the whole atmosphere! But with jet lag, there's not a lot of enjoyment for sure.

Sounds like you're eating well. Love CP. Never tried CM, but I've heard it's a lot of fun. Yay for your youngest being tall enough to experience new rides!! I hope you continue to have a wonderful time! ::yes::

New fantasyland is up and running. We are able to ride everything excerpt the Snow White mine ride. And be our guest is serving hoping to get a table tonight

We have 3 sleeps and a wake up and we are going to be in FLORIDA!!! :cool1:

I am so excited I feel like I am going to burst. I have almost everything packed with the exception of bathroom stuff and shoes. I have all the cords/chargers to anything and everything we will need in a small plastic bin so I can just put a lid on it and go. I have copies of all things needed.

I am getting a little worried about the airport though. It will be the 3 of us 4 suitcases, a carseat, a stroller, my carryone bag, diaper bag, laptop case and P's little backpack. How are we going to get all this to the check in counter. Can I curb check with a small child? Since I have to show a birth certifitcate I am not sure if I can do it all curbside.... Oh man we are going to need a cart!

Still busting with excitment!!!:yay:

What I do in those situations is drop off the bags and my wife and kids at the terminal and then I go park the car and bring it all to the check in counter. We usually get a train setup of bags and have things balanced on top of one another, etc. Then I reverse it on the way back. Get the stuff from baggage claim and then go get the car.

We are on the way as I type this. The reveal went off without a hitch and the kids were very excited. We have three different angles of the reveal and I'll post the best one on YouTube.

This time tomorrow we should be hanging at the pool at AoA!

This is probably a stupid question - but why do you need to show a birth certificate? I've never had to show any id for the kids when we travel domestically, but maybe something changed?

Wait... I was told I wouldn't need birth cents for the kids. Do I ????

Only if their age is in question. As they get close to that age where they can ride in a lap ID is needed but otherwise no. We bring our kids passports when we fly domestic just so there isn't any question.

My son is not quite 2 and they told me to make sure I had a birth certificate to show at check in. I had to show it last time we flew too. Maybe to prove he is mine.

I think in your case you need to show birth cert only to prove to the airline that he's under 2.
Last week when we traveled, TSA only asked the kids a couple questions like their full name and age. We did not have to show their ID's. They are 11 and 5.

I took a BC for my 5 year old DGD in April since our last names are different and they never even asked to see one!:crazy2: Don't think you'll need one unless there is a question of age.

Here is one of our videos of our reveal!

I loved watching the video, but didn't get any sound. Still, so cute! Thanks for posting so quickly. Hope your trip is going well.:goodvibes

Hope everyone who has gone had an awesome time and everyone that is getting ready to go has a fabulous vacation.

We are here! We had a blast last night at MVMCP! It was an awesome time.
We got to the partk right at 4 and were able to watch the castle show, ride tomorrowland Race track, mad tea party, dumbo and see Minnie and Daisy before heading down Main Street to get in line for Santa before the party started. We ate dinner in line. Saw Santa, Saw the Princesses/Prince. We got cocoa and cookies. Then we rode Buzz 3 times, the People Mover 1x. We watched the Tomorrowland Christmas Show, Rode Buzz again. Then we watched the Fireworks, the Castle Christmas show and the 2nd parade. After the parade we got a snack, rode Peter Pan and the carousel and then left the park.

It was a lot of fun. We saw all the shows, saw the characters we wanted to see and rode some rides. What more could you ask for?

We will be going thru security with a liquid antibiotic now. I had to take DD to the doctor yesterday. She has double ear infection. Just how we want to get started...at least we found out before we left. This gives her time to get the meds in and working. The plane ride would have been horrible for her. We leave Wednesday after we pick her up from school to head to the airport for the night. We can't wait.

Today she had the pinewood derby and bake-off. Her car got stuck on the track the first time down. It made it down the next time. She did get 2nd place for the bake-off with the orange-cranberry cookies with orange glaze she made.
