All Things Cinnamon......

I have recently returned from a wonderful holiday and I am missing Florida terribly.

In America they have so many yummy cinnamon products like Hot Tamales available. This trip I discovered Pepperridge Farm Cinnamon Bread and gorgeous Cinnamon and Brown Sugar Belvita Biscuits which are my ultimate favourite!

We dont have many Cinnamon products here and I am stuggling to find anything other than Cinnamon and Raisen Bagels. I was wondering if anyone else loves cinnamon things as much? What are your favourites and where can I buy them?

I like many things but Cinnamon doesn't do a lot for me. Cinnamon rolls I like and Sweet potato fries with a little cinnamon but some places put too much on.
Not as bad as wasabi though thats the worst thing I have tasted in my life.:rotfl2:

I've always been a cinnamon fan! On our first trip to WDW in 2004 I was delighted to find how many things were cinnamon! So looking forward to going again next year!

I absolutely love cinnamon

At home, I make cinnamon rolls - they are pretty easy to make and are delicious. The recipe I use makes two batches - normally cook and eat one the same day and leave the second in fridge overnight, then bake first thing in the morning and they are delicious fresh from the oven  I usually make them when tony (tony64) and Theresa (LatteLover) are staying with us as they both love all things cinnamon too.

(I have had lots of compliments about my CRs and my DS says they're better than Cinnabon)

I did try freezing them but they didn't come out as well so I've yet to find a decent cinnamon roll recipe for the freezer.

ETA: Also, Snickerdoodles are lovely - they are like soft, chewy biscuits with a cinnamon sugar coating. I always thought they would be peanutty (because of the 'Snicker' part, I suppose) but they are just yummy. They are also very easy to make and freeze beautifully. I usually freeze them before baking, once they've been rolled into balls, then put a few on a baking tray from the freezer and bake for a bit longer than the recipe states, then you have fresh biscuits right out of the oven (and the house smells awesome).

Asda do freshly baked cinnamon pancakes and my god they are scrummy.;) My DB mom lives in South Carolina and she has just sent me 24 packs of cinnamon chewing gum:rotfl2: I have cinnamon candles; insense oils and everything yankee in cinnamon. I am sure there is a cinnamon cereal but cant remember where I have seen it.
Can I ask where did you get the cinnamon and raisin bagels from.

Luke will have to try those:flower3: yummy:crazy2:

Curiously Cinnamon :) I know Tesco sell it - I think it's Nestle. DD loves it but I only occasionally buy it because she has it for breakfast on weekends only (I don't think there is any goodness in there whatsoever :rotfl:) but it is really really yummy :)

Lidl also had some bags of crisp bakes that were cinnamon and brown sugar a little while back. I know we had lots of bags of them before we went away and I just sort of forgot about them and haven't looked since we got back.

You can get a Cinnamon bun at Tesco (in store bakery), also M&S have just brought out a packet of 4 that looks like you can put them in the oven (haven't tried).

I like to stew apple and add Cinnamon to it - it's really nice warm for breakfast.

I hate Wasabi too! I haven't tried cinnamon on sweet potato fries, it doesn't sound like something I'd like as I class cinnamon as a dessert ingredient and sweet potato fries as a main!

Andrea :o)

I can't wait to go back either. In exactly 9 months I will be back in my favourite place eating lots of cinnamon and peanut butter products!

I can definitely confirm there are no cinnamon rolls in the whole world as good as the ones Joh makes!

Mmmmmmmm cinnamon rolls, can I come and visit??

I might give them a try but I am a weightwatcher so I need to be careful with the calories!

I did see Snickerdoodle cookies in Disney World and Walmart but I didn't try them because I thought they were something to do with Snickers bars and I didn't realise they were cinnamon grrrrrrr!

Are the pancakes made in the instore bakery? I love pancakes and cinnamon so these have got to be a winner!

The bagels are New York Bagels and they have them in Asda, Tesco, Sainsburys etc. Im not a big raisin fan so I wish they were just cinnamon!

I wish I had a US friend or relative, I'd be asking for cinnamon and brown sugar belvita every week!
