Yak & Yeti / Parade Viewing???

We've never tried Y&Y, so this may be a really stupid question, but here goes anyway...

Are there window seats at Y&Y?
If so, can you view the parade from there?
If so, what time would you make an ADR?

:confused3

We're not really parade people and have never taken time to watch any of them (except the one at MVMCP). So, I thought it might be kind of cool to see it go by as we were having late lunch/early dinner.

Would it work???

:confused3

We sat by the window upstairs when we ate there in October, but I don't think the parade goes by there, someone correct me if I am wrong.

I'm so crazy! I didn't even think to check that!!! LOL
Shows you how much attention we pay to the parades... :p

I'll check the map. :thumbsup2

I thought I read about someone watching it from there. I plan on making an ADR there for our Feb trip, so would love to know if it goes by there and what time also!

1) Restaurants at WDW are not designed to view parades. *
2) It reduces table turnover.

* At Tony's, a few patio seats do have a view.

I thought I did, too. BUT when I look at pictures of the dining area it looks like the chance of getting a window seat are slim. AND the parade doesn't really pass by, but near. I switched our ADR to a normal lunch time. Guess I'll never see that parade... :upsidedow

We got window seats upstairs both times we ate there, and had a great view of the walkway outside, but I'm pretty sure the restaurant is off the parade route.

Here is the parade route. Yak and Yeti is the building marked "O" so you can see the parade does not pass in front of the restaurant. Possibly it is visible from a distance but it won't be a good view.

Yak & Yeti is our must do every trip. We do a late lunch and have always been seated downstairs. We never have had a chance to sit upstairs yet so I can't speak for the views up there. The views from downstairs are obstructed but the parade will pass by. So it is difficult to see all of the parade but you will see taller floats. The trees can obstruct the views.

We were upstairs against a window and our server said where we were sitting you would be able to see the parade. Would've worked out great if we weren't there at noon. ;) We were in the room all the way to the left (looking at it from outside) of the restaurant - only a bit off from the walkway from the bridge.

Now I think I might switch back and chance it. Can't wait to try it either way, being able to catch a glimpse of the parade would just be a cool perk. :)
