We are coming to Disney December 10-16 and staying at All Star Movies. Has anyone stayed there before? Any reviews, tips? We are so excited. I have been addicted to DISboards for the last few days. :)

We stayed there our first trip. It was fun. It feels very Disney with the characters and statues all around.

We'd be staying there again this trip, but we now have 5.

We've stayed there about 4 times. You are going to have a blast. We always got the preferred room because we like being really close to the food court, pop dispensers, store and bus stop. I was just there in August. The refurbed rooms were nice. I already want to go back!!!!!!

We have stayed there a couple of times, and are planning to go back at the end of January, and it is a fun resort. It's certainly low, or even no, frills but it is clean and sometimes that's all you need!

Have fun!

We stayed there on our first visit to WDW and it was a fun themed resort. I wouldn't personally stay there again but thats only because i've discovered that I love the moderate resorts but for what it is it was fun and if your bringing little ones they'll LOVE the larger than life Characters around the resort.

It is our favorite value. I love how compact it is and to me, all of the rooms have an easy walk to the amenities.

We LOVE that resort. Would have stayed there every trip if we didn't have 5 people now. When our youngest outgrows the murphy bed at POR, we will be getting 2 rooms at Movies again- for now POR is cheaper for us. The theme is so fun, you will have a blast. Everyone complains about busing at the All-stars, but we have stayed there 5 times, and never had horrible busing (wish I could say that for POR).

That's what I was worried about. I read somewhere that buses don't come as often to the All Star resorts. Glad to read all the positive feedback!

This resort is VERY Disney, which to me is a good thing. Basic, obviously since its a value hotel, but no chance you'll forget where you are. We enjoyed our stay.

:thumbsup2the only resorts we've stayed in are the Values. As each was being built, we moved on to the next and happily settled at the Movies! For us, it was one of the reasons we could go to WDW every year i Even though DS and DD are adults now, none of us was interested in changing. The food court food is very tasty and it's a fun way to let your youngsters choose what they want to eat without having to spiff up for a restaurant every meal. DH and I love love to eat our breakfast poolside every morning. Especially in December when it's toasty warm but below zero at home:lmao:I'd recommend the Mighty Ducks section if you want quiet, plus a second pool. Toy Story section is lovely for the small ones. We Can't wait to be there next monthpixiedust:

I read a lot of negative comments about the All-Star buses before we stayed at Music this past February and got worried about it too. But we wound up never having a problem with them at all. I think you'll be fine. :thumbsup2

I hope you have a magical trip!! :yay:

We are very interested in the movies resort as well for the first week in May. However I am concerned about big groups of teens, sports, cheerleaders being there at the same time- that is my only reason for hesitating to book.

When we were at Music in February, there was some big sports groups (dancers or cheerleaders maybe...) there at the same time, and we only ever really saw them in the main lobby. They weren't a problem for us.

We stayed at Movies on our first trip and loved it. It just had this awesome feel to it! The buses were fine. Don't worry and have fun!
