Wife just called. We have Mickey Mail! Now, here is a problem. This trip is a surprise for our girls and we will be at Disney Dec 15 to the 24th. They will not know about this trip until two days before we leave! We always cut our own tree the weekend after Thanksgiving but I sure don't want to blow $70 on a tree if were are not home to water it. Any thoughts?

$70 :faint: We cuts ours and it will cost us $28.

I was kind of thinking along the same lines. Just be busy that weekend for some reason or another. Finding something fun to do to distract them would be a great idea. I think the hardest part will be keeping it going though since Thanksgiving is kind of early in Nov this year. Not counting the weekend of Thanksgiving, you'll have 2 whole weekends at home before you leave on the 15th.

It might be worth it to look into getting a tree somewhere... I don't think I'd want to leave the house for a week and a half with a live tree in my living room, regardless what I paid for it. Just too much of a fire hazard to leave it unattended. Maybe see if you can find a decent deal on an artificial tree to use this year. :confused3

Just so no to artificial trees

Just saw this from the Disney Parks Blog. Thought it was interesting behind the scenes look.

"WaltDisneyWorld: How fast can you decorate a theme park for #DisneyHolidays? We did it in one night! Check out the video:" http://t.co/fYWllVMC

C'mon man. I think we are at a dozen trips now and my princesses still require dining with and a photo op with the princesses.

It's wishful thinking, I might be able to distract her by saying something like "wanna go ride the little mermaid ride?" Or Hey look shiny object!!!" Of course I'm kidding about the last one, I'm the one that falls for that one, She's way to smart to fall for it

Another Tuesday Ownage.

Well, she could be into worse things.

Had an artificial all my life. And, I've had the same artificial for the last decade, which means the tree cost me $5 a year. DW keeps wanting to buy a new one.:sad2:

Real trees rock. My mother has an artificial tree but she's old.

I fully agree, since she's my child I dread to think what she might get into as she gets older

Well, I really don't need to teach mine to be any more aggressive as she had that. I had plenty of aggressive players, but I just taught them to play through the ball with their feet as opposed to pushing. I think it is too young, but I may just have to do it.

Agreed. I played defender (soccer) and didn't have to throw many elbows. I solid shoulder would deter most offensive players. Usually, players through elbows and push when they are out of position, tired, or can't catch up. I usually had more weight on me than other players, and while I knew my stamina limits, I could still enforce and sprint a short distance when needed.
I think it is too young. Instead of teaching them how to cheat how about teaching more fundamental defense. Us slow pokes had to be smart defenders cause we couldn't make up the ground if we got burned. That's what I always taught. Stay on your toes, keep between the ball and your goal, they want to get by you throw a shoulder. I also was very good at trapping to an open spot and getting rid of the ball fast.
