Happy Diwali everyone!

I didn't know what this Indian holiday was before today...:confused3 but I have a co-worker that sits across from me, who is from India, and took all of his co-workers out to lunch today... so I'm now a big fan! :cheer2:

Did some research.... here's a good summary:

http://www.timeanddate.com/holidays/india/diwali

Funny thing... we let him pick the lunch place and he decided on an all-you-can-eat American buffet. :)

Ron Should know this by now !!!
So is this always the case for EMH? I guess I've never really paid attention, but if one wanted to partake of some adult beverages during EMH at DHS or EPCOT, should one just plan to sneak in one's own??? :rolleyes1

Sorry Tim I was afraid that after the slip of the gas pedal back in Aug I had put you in danger.Team Barry is dirtier then the bottom of your shoes.
You just shouldn't have missed. :headache:

You hit one of ours, we gonna take out two of yours!!! LOL
BRING IT!

I can make a few phone calls and there will be more than 1 truck running stop signs in Barry's neighborhood.

Wife just called. We have Mickey Mail! Now, here is a problem. This trip is a surprise for our girls and we will be at Disney Dec 15 to the 24th. They will not know about this trip until two days before we leave! We always cut our own tree the weekend after Thanksgiving but I sure don't want to blow $70 on a tree if were are not home to water it. Any thoughts?

Afternoon fellow dads, hope all the well. I need some opinions (I know that's a double edge sword) last trip we did CRT for lunch , and now planning ADRs for our next trip is CRT breakfast worth going to again to get in early and be one of the 1st over to NEW FL? If that is a big reason for going? It'll be early march so I expect some of the crowds to be lower but not by much and as of right now there are no ADR for BOG at anytime , still hoping to get a dinner res for BOG but not betting on it

I'd get CRT as early as possible. Then get there 20 minutes before your time. We were at CRT on Tuesday 10 minutes before and it took at least 30 minutes to get seated.

You also have to worry about the ever changing park hours. They might just change the opening to 8am. :scared:

Maybe get a smaller cheaper one for the few weeks you are there? :confused3

Didn't think of that in the planning huh!:rotfl2: How about finding a reason to be busy for that weekend. Maybe a show or something. We are going to see three performances this year....Grinch(Thanksgiving weekend), Christmas Carol(Dec. 16) and Blue Man Group. Maybe spend the money on that and then let them know you'll get a tree the weekend of the 15th.:confused3

Tree farm/lot not open yet? Obviously have to avoid driving by.:drive:

Discuss getting an artificial tree this year and plan to go to the store later.

Distract, distract and distract.:wave2:

Dad-on-dad violence is frowned upon. I would expect more from you Randall. :sad2:
I know. First I thought 'Hey, Randall isn't so bad' Next thing I knew he was beating me into a pulp.

I got him back by giving him a SM FP though. He was screaming like a girl on the ride. :lmao::lmao:

I asked because Jodi and I talked about this last night. I try to dump them every night onto the 'puter, her concern is that if something would happen to the puter we'd be out of our pictures. So, on Black Friday I'll be getting a few flash drives cheap to back them up on too!
A few 8gig cards would do the trick. Them just transfer them to your external when you get home.

First, Barry got run over by the golf cart. Now, Tim gets mugged. This nemesis race is really something.
::yes::

The real action will be the 1/2 itself.

And for the record, Team Barry sure seems like a bunch of thugs. :confused3

I was kind of thinking along the same lines. Just be busy that weekend for some reason or another. Finding something fun to do to distract them would be a great idea. I think the hardest part will be keeping it going though since Thanksgiving is kind of early in Nov this year. Not counting the weekend of Thanksgiving, you'll have 2 whole weekends at home before you leave on the 15th.

It might be worth it to look into getting a tree somewhere... I don't think I'd want to leave the house for a week and a half with a live tree in my living room, regardless what I paid for it. Just too much of a fire hazard to leave it unattended. Maybe see if you can find a decent deal on an artificial tree to use this year. :confused3

Good pic. Too bad the adult beverage establishments were closed. Bad planning.
I was drinking mine before I got there.. I could of gotten a beer anywhere. Ron doesn't drink beer so I didn't want to drink in front of him- that wouldda been rude. :bitelip:

Team Barry Approved.
:badpc:

You run over one of ours with a golf cart, we stomp on one of yours in Fantasyland. That's the Team Barry Way.
What a bunch of chumps.

Ron Should know this by now !!!

:mad::mad:

Due to the violent nature of team Barry I think Tim should hold out from doing any more public meets until after the big race. Sorry but Tims safety comes first!! Just cant trust that team Barry they will stoop to all levels.

Thanks for the warning.. I have canceled my December trip and will just show up in Jan. to keep myself safe. :smokin:

You can buy all the Yuengling you can but can't get a cocktail. :lmao:

You just shouldn't have missed. :headache:
I know. Carl wasted his chance.

I can make a few phone calls and there will be more than 1 truck running stop signs in Barry's neighborhood.

Tell them they were bad this year and you are canceling Christmas. ;)

I think procrastination will be the best way to go in this situation. Or just buy aa artificial tree. At least there will be one up when you get home.

BRING IT!

I can make a few phone calls and there will be more than 1 truck running stop signs in Barry's neighborhood.

Tim is close enough to Jersey that we could make him disappear in a cloud of snooki, never to be heard frm again :rotfl2:

I agree. If you look for deals around Thanksgiving, you can get an artificial tree for pretty cheap (either pre-lit, or w/out lights). It might be a good compromise for this year, and you could use it as a second tree for your kids in future years if you like having a live tree as your main one...

Then on Friday I met up with the president of Team Frozen Monkey. Randall. How does he get my attention while I'm stilling on Dumbo waiting for it to start? By yelling 'GO TEAM BARRY!'
THIS is why Team Barry Does - and always will - Rule. :thumbsup2

All of Randall's sweet talking saying how he didn't really like Barry and how he wanted to switch sides to Team Tim got me off guard. He got me in a headlock...

Tossed me to the ground, and started to stomp on my back, legs, and ankles.
If he was doing it right, he was yelling "This is for Carl!" the whole time. :lmao::lmao:

Dad-on-dad violence is frowned upon. I would expect more from you Randall. :sad2:
I was expecting more too. A foot the the neck is better than a foot to the back. :rolleyes1

And for the record, Team Barry sure seems like a bunch of thugs. :confused3
All's fair is love and pretend racing teams.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Team Barry Approved.
::yes::

You guys started it.

The GM is in charge. I can only hope CJ has that sweet Sean Connery accent in January.

Sorry Tim I was afraid that after the slip of the gas pedal back in Aug I had put you in danger.Team Barry is dirtier then the bottom of your shoes.
Come on Carl, I stopped a full size pickup truck dead in it's tracks. You think a golf cart is going to stop me? Please....

You just shouldn't have missed. :headache:
Uh oh, do I detect a little dissention in the ranks of Team Tim?

I can make a few phone calls and there will be more than 1 truck running stop signs in Barry's neighborhood.
Because no one will look at the corn farmer from Indiana when a few semis full of corn go rolling through a residential neighborhood. :rolleyes1

Andy, did you feel any of the tremors from the explosion on the southside on Saturday?
No, I didn't. There are people around here who said they felt it. I know I was laying in bed watching football and I'm pretty sure I was probably asleep before 11. :confused3

Because no one will look at the corn farmer from Indiana when a few semis full of corn go rolling through a residential neighborhood. :rolleyes1
Well, after this year, a corn farmer from Indiana should be one of the last people you'd suspect of having a few semis full of corn. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

A quick google search came up with this. http://www.quenchatree.com/index.htm Who knows how well it would work....:confused3
