Portion sizes... is DDP best option for us?

Hi all.

I am looking for some expert advice. We're going to be at Disney for only two days in December and are wondering if getting the quick service DDP for those days would be worth it or not.

I really like the simplicity of it, but I'm not sure this is the best option for us both in terms of cost, but more importantly, the amount of food we'd be getting.

I really want to know about the meal portions in general. Are they large or reasonably sized? It's hubby, myself and our DD's (6 & 8). The girls tend to snack throughout the day and have smaller meals.

We will be staying at POP and will be there for one dinner and two breakfasts and we plan on being at MK for one lunch and one dinner.

If I can get away with them sharing a kids combo or an adult sized serving, then I figure the DDP isn't for us.

Many thanks to all who take the time to reply!

Don't forget that you get a desert with the QS meal plan. The QS meals are very filling. You can use the snack credit to get cereal & milk (1 credit for both not 2) for you breakfast. You really should consider walking across the bridge to AoA for a dinner meal. They have an excellent Pasta-Your-Way station. I really love that they serve in real bowls and flatwear.

In my experience, the portions are rather large. DH and I shared a CS meal for lunch most days and my 3yo never came close to finishing her kids meal. I would think a 6 and 8 yo would be able to split an adult meal no problem.

I don't think that is correct.
They quit allowing both cereal and milk as 1 snack credit end of 2011, didn't they?
I think in 2012 that constitutes a 1 QS credit, which is a waste of a QS credit.
Someone will correct me if I am wrong.
