Where can I go now?

Since Main Street Bakery is closing in January, where can I take my son to get one of those giant ice cream cookie sandwiches? I know some kiosks sell the regular sized ones but I have been telling him about the giant ones for a while now and I just read that the bakery is shutting down so they won't be open when we are there in February. Is there some other place that sells them? :confused3

Fountain View Ice Cream in Epcot serves large ice cream cookie sandwiches, along with sundaes and cones. They're not the same as the Main Street Bakery, but they are a good alternative.

I hear you. That ice cream sandwich was one of my fave things. So delicious. Cant believe i won't be able to have them anymore. :( Guess I will also have to try fountain view.

Sent from my Galaxy SII

Sleepy Hollow also does the IC Sandwiches. I think they should add them to the Plaza Ice Cream menu.
(Guess that's why they have Cinnamon Rolls at Gaston's?)

not sure, but at DCA I get an AP discount AND I can use my Starbucks GC to earn my stars towards free coffee. (DLR gives AP discounts to almost all the food places. Not so at WDW)

On my last trip to WDW, I got a hot fudge sundae from Dino Bites in Animal Kingdom. It's next to Restaurantasaurus. While I was waiting to order, the guy in front of me got the ice cream sandwich and it was huge, and fresh cookies.

AllEars lists it as "Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich - Vanilla ice cream served between fresh baked cookies: Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Raisin or Sugar $4.19"

I don't know if this is the same as what the Bakery had, but it's not your packaged ice cream sandwich.

Isn't Sleepy Hollow soft-serve, though? I was also massively looking forward to hand-scooped ice cream with a choice of flavors, sandwiched between 2 real cookies (possibly also with a choice of cookie flavor). MSB will be changed over by the time we arrive and FountainView will be closed for the change.

And while there is debate as to whether the Starbucks in MK will sell pastries other than the Starbucks brand (the location in DCA does but the wording of the official Disney site announcement implies that it will not), there is certainly no mention of ice cream at either location.

SO bummed out about this! We didn't get any of the ice cream sandwiches last year as we were being stingy with our snack credits, but this trip we're planning on DxDP so we'll have tons of credits and were going to splurge on all the little extras like this.

OP here...sounds like I'll be heading to Dinobites or Sleepy Hollow. Thanks for all the input!

Another vote for Sleepy Hollow. They usually have a featured flavor for the cookies and we've never been disappointed there. More than enough for two to share!
