My week at work sucked so much, that instead of enjoying this weekend, I am already dreading going back to work Monday....

How fitting is it, that this is the weekend I am going to try my Terrible beer.

It's the week for work to suck. I am going to watch the amazing Spider-Man and then go see wreck it Ralph again with DD. I assume that after Sundays once upon a time and walking dead, I'll be able to accept Monday. Yay

DW made Reuben sandwiches and we're now watching Kithen Nightmares. I always get interested in opening my own restaurant after I watch it, but then I am reminded I really don't want to work that hard.

I picture Norm's as a make your own sandwich buffet. When can I make an ADR

I'll chime in on the suck work week, the Christmas season has started, and with it waves of craziness. There were a few times of pure frustration when I was left high and dry, not nice.

The worse part is, ok, it was a bad week, I want to lay low and y'know, not be subjected to crap, so I decided to give up my Sunday shift comming up. I took it to get a lieu shift later in the week (I get it regardless).Give me a whole weekend off. DW flipped out on me about giving up OT money etc Christmas money...made me feel far worse then work has. I kept the shift regardless, but not feeling really great about this.

What do you hunt with? My FIL lives in the middle of no where (there are no cable wires or wireless internet) and just shoots out of his barn. He hunts for the meat and will trade with others.

Opened my Terrible Beer...

Very dark, but not at all what you would expect from a dark beer. It looks like a Guinness. But is really smooth and citrusy with a caramel kick to it.

Oh, and it is 10.5%, but you can not tell when drinking it. Very very subtle.

I'll have to check it out. I don't think I have seen that down here, but wasn't really looking.

I thought about a buffet, and while I can put away the food, I am to the point where I would just prefer having the food brought to me. I could probably do a restaurant with bar food, a bakery, or something like a waffle house. Maybe when I retire. DW wants to make candy and I have enocouraged her to make and sell Christmas candy. While I can run the numbers for sale/profit, she said that she would have to get an approval from the health department to sell them, and they would have to inspect our house prior to as a catering business.

Already have a pension thanks to the union, decent one too. Actually topped up my contibutions for the year, so paycheques are a little bigger now till January. No other benefits, the extra week of vacation is when I get 18 years full time, not total years worked, no it'll be 2018 till that happens. 10 more years, I get a watch

Well, no watches here, but we get a pin every 5 years. My last one had them STM broken upon receipt. Made me feel really appreciated. I certainly am thankful for our retirement/ pension plan.

Thanks. Australia is nature's final boss level. So there's lots of things to watch out for.

I really want to run backwards now, just so I can make that comment to people.


I read "unbroken" on the flight down. Its the true story of a runner, who goes off to be a bombadier in the pacific region during WW2. He's plane crashes in the pacific and when he's finally rescued he winds up spending a large amount of time in a Japanese POW camp. The story is really amazing.
