does anyone know which moderate resort will be the "overflow" for pop warner this year? por or cbr?

Please note the moderates are not overflow resort, the POP Warner attendees choose their level of resort
According to the registration form in the POP Warner site the choices for resorts this year are the Allstar Sports for the value and there are 2 moderate resorts, the CBR and CSR.

thanks for the clarification, and may I say, "RATS!" (we'll be at CBR.)

well, guess we'll just make the best of it. hopefully at check in they will be honest with us about where the group is and put us elsewhere (don't want to be at a quiet pool they have "taken over")

we had experience with them at Music in 2007 (the group that got in a fight and a bunch were kicked out in the wee hours of the night)

since then, we stayed at Sports with a group of brazilian csoccer players, and I have to say, pop warner was better. the brazilian soccer coaches and chaperones were awful!

I've stayed at the Allstar Music and the Sports with the POP Warner and the tour groups, it's a toss up as to which group created the most chaos.

Pop Warner is always the first full week of December, or one week after the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

They had been staying at POR/POFQ for several years, but they were at CBR last year due to the refurbishment at POR and so many rooms out of inventory.

With the new refurbishment, our thoughts were they would stick with CBR. If you look at that week, POR has availability and CBR has very little left.

it's our own fault.. we booked a bounce back. when we were there in april. for our dec. trip.

at por. we weren't sure if we could go or not, but.. why not book the bounce back?

well one thing led to another (you all know had that goes) and, anyway, to get free dining we had to book at CBR.

and we love CBR.. it was the resort of our first trip EVER!!! with our "boys" (who are now 30 and 33)

and we ahve stayed at CBR a few times in the past few years, but, somehow, always only for a few days. so here we go..

I HOPE and PRAY!!! it won't be a big hassle...when we check in, I plan on telling them we do NOT want to be in the same village as pop warner..

other than that. the lines at the food court? we weren't plannign on eating there much anyway..

while CBR is a beautiful resort. the quiet pools are great, the main pool (esp. with the new refurbishment, with the zero entry and the new slide) is great!!!

the food leaves a LOT to be desired . the food court is, just,, MEH, and SHUTTERS is . um, bad..

just hope the kids (and the chaperones!!!!!!!) aren't TOO bad!

They won't be one village, they will be all over. I was at POR one year to accommodate some friends who could not leave the weekend of T-giving.

They informed us the resort was full and we were already moved to CSR. I refused and we stayed put; they were literally everywhere.

thanks missy.. hmmm, I'm surprised, as I thought they kinda kept the big groups together.. of course, they are on many dif. teams, but I would think a team would book a block of rooms.
I actually like teens,, when my sons were that age, all their frinds hung around our house. jsut hope they aren't all rude, and talke over the quiet pool by us.
in july a brazillain soccer group took the homerun pool over. if you just got up to swi, your lounger would be gone.! and soccer balss hitting our window at midnight! lots of other stuff.
we'll report back!

One year I stayed one night at the Allstar music before heading over to AKV, and trust me the groups took over the main pool and the quiet pool. I was in a room overlooking the quiet pool. They did leave the quiet pool shortly after 11:00 I am not sure if security had them leave or if their chaperones did.
They were not at the pool earlier in the day though, I am sure with the games and competitions and practice they were not at the resort as much as they were in the evening,

Yes, they block out a set of rooms. The resort has 1000 rooms and they block out 800 rooms say. So they fill the resort. This is a huge money maker for Disney and they take advantage of it.

Like I said, I booked my. Room at POR a year in advance and was told I was transferred to CSR or go home. I stood my ground and stayed at POR, was given the farthest out room and had to beg to get reimbursed for my waterview room. As far as they were concerned, I had been offered a waterview room at CSR and did not take it, so I should not get a refund.

Good luck, the parents are the worst.....

I read on the CSR FAQ thread that they will actually be staying at CSR AND CBR this year, in addition to the All Stars which is typical. Its the first year they are offering two mods. I wonder if this means more PW guests or if they are just trying to scatter them between more resorts since they are such a pain :confused3

coronado? now that's surprising, as it is a convention resort.

hmm, now that I think of it, maybe not...the convention people also tend do be a bit noist at night, maybe they figure theycan throw them all together and let them fight it out! ;)
