Difference Between Hotels

IMo I think what poster meant about people at values, is maybe that it attracts young families with small children more then the Moderates and Deluxe because of the theming, giant icons, and affordability etc. I don't think it was meant in a derogatory way.

Besides price, what are the differences between a Value, Moderate and Deluxe hotel??

If you're trying to decide on resorts, a good way is to look at pics and info. http://allears.net/acc/faq_hot.htm This is a great site that will explain all the resorts, what they offer, and has a ton of pics, click on individual resorts on the left to get resort specific info and pics. Some of the resorts have been recently refurbished and so pics will have NEW on the most recent room pics.
Have fun planning.

Obviously there are many but the important one to us, and the one that makes the big difference, is location. If Beach Club was a Value Resort, in every sense of the description of 'Value Resort', we'd be so happy to stay in that location at a more affordable price. Disney was smart in choosing the locations of their resorts, and that's why Deluxe are where they are I guess.

That's an interesting point of view. While it's true the large icons and bright colors would appeal to young children, the theming at Pop Century (decades from the second half of the 20th century, aka nostalgia), All Star Music, and at least Fantasia at All Star Movies is directed at adults of all ages. All Star Sports is themed for general appeal as well.

By redoing a portion of the Caribbean Beach rooms as pirate rooms, and about a quarter of the Port Orleans Riverside rooms as Royal rooms, it seems Walt Disney World is aiming those at families with young children even more than the Value Resorts. I, and a number of Value Resort fans here don't fit the 'families with young kids' description - yet truly enjoy a Value resort.
