Hi all! :wave2: :welcome: For those of you who didn't read my last TR, I'll tell you a little about myself. :goodvibes

My actual name is Stephanie, and I'm a 28 year old single gal from Maryland. I'm still living in MD currently, but plan to move to Florida next year, the Bradenton/Sarasota area.

I am, somewhat obviously, a Disney freak! princess: I have always loved everything Disney, and this trip will be my 6th trip to WDW, and the third solo trip.

I have a dog, Phoenix, who is an 8 year old Beagle/Belgian Malinois mix.

And 4 cats:
Jag, a 10 year old Maine Coon/Ragdoll mix (here with his best buddy Phoenix). He was a rescue from the local animal control when he was 11 weeks old.

Turk, a 10 year DSH. His momma was found, while pregnant, by a woman working in Baltimore who was very allergic to cats. She didn't want her to give birth in the city, so she caught her, brought her home, put her in the basement, and told her husband that he had to care for her and the kittens once they were born :rotfl2:. She gave birth a few days later. I got Turk at 8 weeks, and she had named him that as all the kittens had been named after Disney movies, so I kept it! :goodvibes

Jynx, an 8 year old Torti with white. She was found by my parents with 4 of her siblings at around 6 weeks old. Their mom had been hit be a car and passed away. I kept her, my sister kept her sister and my parents kept one of her brothers. They found homes for the other 2.

And finally Sweetie. She is a 6-ish year old DSH tabby. I found her when I was living in the boonies, and she adopted me. She went from injured and feral, to healed and sweet as can be in 2 weeks. She is difficult to get pictures of as she never stops moving, but here she is with Jag.

I have two younger sisters and my parents are still married. We all love Disney. One of my sisters, Heather, got married last year to her boyfriend of 5 years, Jimmy. He is not as much of a Disney freak and has never been to WDW. But he tolerates Heather's love of Disney.

I volunteer a lot with animal rescues and my job is actually animal related too. I am the Office Manager of a pet sitting company here in Maryland, and have enjoyed this job for almost 4 years now. It's a great mix of working with people and animals that works well for me.

Well, enough blabbering about me. If you have any questions please ask, otherwise let's get this PTR under way! :woohoo:

I'm here. :wave::wave:

Great intros; your dog is adorable, and cute kitties too.

Can't wait to hear all about it.

Hi Back! I just joined in for your PTR too, though I haven't had a chance to start reading it yet. I will in a bit though!

Can't wait to hear your plans!

I'll post the general outline later today :goodvibes

Hi Kathy! :welcome: Thank you very much, my fur babies are very photogenic.

I'm still bummed we are missing each other by just a few days. If I could just win the lottery, I'd extend my trip! :thumbsup2:rotfl:

Yay! I can't wait to hear all about your plans.

Hi Lisa, glad you made it :goodvibes

I am here too and can't wait to read about your plans! Your fur babies are adorable :)

Hi! :wave2: How is Hurricane doing? (The kitten, not the storm) :goodvibes

Hi Val! He is doing well, running around right now trying to greet the trick or treaters.

I'm in....can't wait to hear all of your plans! Love all your furbabies! I have 2 golden retriever puppies that just hit 15 weeks and they are just the loves of my life now....well along with my DS and DH!!

Thanks, I'll be posting the outline of my plans shortly!

Nope, not reading this one. :bored:

Just kidding! :duck:

:rotfl: Very funny Mel! Glad you made it! :goodvibes

Good afternoon all! I'm going to post the general outline of my plans in a bit, to be detailed later on, but first I wanted to post something for those that didn't see it on my last TR, since Val brought him up, my foster kitten Hurricane:

A woman found him in a box in her apartment complex late Sunday night, and no one knew where he came from. She can't keep him (absolutely no pets of any type allowed there) so she took him to the local vet Monday morning to ask if they knew where she could take him. They happen to be my vet and know I foster, so they called. Picked him up around 10:30am and decided his name is Hurricane! :lmao: He is sweet as can be, not afraid of the dog or other cats, though he is being kept separated from them for now since he is itty bitty (fits in my hand) and needs kitten food only. Here is a pic of him!

He is 4 weeks old! He had a slight limp in his front right leg that the vet thought was just a minor pulled muscle, but otherwise he is completely healthy. And the limp has gone away since then. He is eating great, and has a BIG voice that he loves to use whenever he wants attention, which is constantly.

So, that is one of the 2 fosters I have right now. I also have a 6 month old female kitten named Firework (found on 4th of July!) and she is GORGEOUS! I'll have to get a picture of her tonight to post, as all of the ones I have now are a couple months old and she has grown quite a bit since then.

Be back in a bit with my trip outline!

TRIP OUTLINE

When: November 29-December 4, 2012

Where: Walt Disney World, or more specifically POP Century Resort @ WDW

Why: Umm...cause it's WDW? Do I need more of a reason :thumbsup2:rotfl:

Who: Most-likely, probably, in all likelihood, just me! So, my 3rd solo trip to WDW

Now for the daily, brief, breakdown, to be elaborated on later.

November 29: Flight lands at 9:10am, DME to POP, check-in, get stuff settled in my room then head to AK for the afternoon. I have an ADR for Rainforest Cafe at AK for 5:30pm. Tour resorts after dinner to look at Christmas decorations.

November 30th: Epcot all day, including EMH until 12:30am. I am doing the CP at 5pm (yay for Whoopi Goldberg!), have lunch scheduled with the package at Biergarten, though I'm thinking I will change this to Coral Reef. Any opinions on this???

December 1: Hollywood Studios all day, including AM EMH. Maybe DTD after.

December 2: AK until 4pm-ish, then MVMCP til midnight.

December 3: MK all day, including EMH until 11pm.

December 4: Finish touring any resorts I didn't get to before, and DTD. Be on DME around 3pm to head home :sad1:

Oh, and the reason for the title of this PTR. There is a very small chance my friend Steve may join me for part or all of this trip, but it's unlikely so I think it will be another solo trip. But who knows? :confused3 Either way, I know this trip will be great!

And I'll be there 4 weeks from today!!! :cool1:

On coral reef vs Biergarten - I have heard really great things about Biergarten, live entertainment, good food & fun and its loud! Coral Reef I have heard mediocre reviews on food but the aquarium feel is awesome. We are doing Coral Reef this year because it will really be a good experience for my kids who love aquariums. I have been before but the not since 04... I want to one day try Biergarten because it sounds like so much fun.

I have never been to Coral Reef, but I have been to Biergarten for dinner, in 2008 on a trip with my sisters. I did enjoy the food and entertainment, but I don't remember much about it as one of my sisters was very sick that night and we were trying to get thru dinner without her...ummm...returning it back to the restaurant. She was able to eat bread and loved that they had quite an assortment! :rotfl2:

I think from your family of fur babies, love of AK you would enjoy Coral Reef if you are looking for a new experience. :) Also as a solo trip I could see myself just watching the tank!!

We may cross paths on Nov 30th or Dec 1st! We are planning on Epcot in the evening of the 30th after a 7 pm dinner at Cape May Cafe.

December 1st is our departure day but we have the morning to do stuff. No concrete plans yet for that day. One of the options on the table is DHS for a few hours in the morning. I think it's going to depend on how early we get packed and out of the room.

I've never eaten at Biergarten but Coral Reef is one of my favorite restaurants at WDW. I love the atmosphere and the Bailey's Chocolate Mousse is my favorite dessert. I thought the food was good but I don't have a very sophisticated palate so take that with a grain of salt. :rotfl: Being an animal lover myself, I was facinated by the aquarium. One of the sea turtles was sitting by the window and our server told us he was over 100 years old.
