An Extra Helping of Disney (Comments Welcome)

After work last night I went with the hubby to a party with some of his theater friends. I figured I would stick with the healthier fare for the evening and keep a no cal beverage in my hand to keep it busy. Turns out, the only "healthy item" was the crab in the crab rangoons. So I had 1 mini corn dog, 1 mini taco, 1 mini popper, and 2 crab rangoons ---- and some of the baked lays we had brought. Guess we should have brought a veggie tray. Oh well. I managed to keep it to a minimum and survived without gorging!

And today I went to Kohls to buy some long sleeved work shirts.

I shopped in the Misses section!!

Size XL baby! No more womens sizes for me!

(Could you tell I am a bit happy?) :rotfl2:

Sucky day at work.

Now all I want to do is eat.

Trying to refrain from doing so.

such an emotional eater........

Wow! You're making really good progress! Way to go with smaller sizes!

Thank you Amy --- looks like you've been through this journey as well. I know the day will come when this gets soooooo much harder. But, for now, I am enjoying the steady pace.

Yep, I lost about 45 pounds (with fits and starts) over a few years. Now, I'm trying to maintain.

Is your family supporting you?

Yes, they absolutely are! Oldest daughter and I try to walk everyday. We hold each other accountable. She is also on a journey to health. And at the end of our journey we will go to Disney World and enjoy it with our new selves!!! :hyper:

Another day, another walk?

Ummmmmmmm.... a bit too dark by the time we were ready to go. So we decided to an exercise DVD. And apparently not just any DVD. My daughter pulls out a Jillian Michaels DVD. Well, let me tell you. I got about 5 minutes into the torture and begged to be done.

And so we were.

And then we found an on demand exercise video called the 2 mile walk. So I am thinking that would be a really good one and match are usual exercise plan.

But this thing only lasts about 25 minutes. Our walk usually takes an hour.

That being said -- OWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

I made it through. Didn't do the maximum level on these, but i did manage to finish.

Tomorrow I am back to walking! ;)

As the song from the Muppet Movie says......

"Moving Right Along"

I am now 208.0

This diet and exercise thing actually works.....

:) Sounds like a plan!

Too much food today.
PA Rennaisance Fair.
Fried oreos.
Chinese food for dinner.

Why do I KNOW that I will not like the scale tomorrow?

No one to blame but myself.

But it is only one day. Not an every day occurrence. Shall we move on?

Get back on the wagon, and move on!

How was the Rennaisance Fair?

Climbing back up. Too dark for a walk, by the time we got dinner done. I think I need to borrow your ladder on your signature. Need a boost back into the wagon!

The Renn Faire was so much fun. So much to see and do. Alot of people come dressed up in period costume. And so much food. And lots of shopping. If you enjoy anything historical, or music or just want to have a different kind of day -- I highly recommend it!

I have friends who have been at Ren fairs. I want to go to one! Hope you are having a good day.

Fighting with the scale a little bit after falling off the wagon. I have re-focused and went for a walk tonight. Cheating "just a little" is apparently not an option for me. I can't have just a little bit --- I want the WHOLE THING. I ignored the giant bowls of Halloween candy at work today. (Pat on the back) Now to continue down this same path........ to Disney!

Scale 0
Me 1

I won the battle to get back in the direction I was going. After the weekend at the Renn Faire and my bad food choices over all, I had gone back up to 211 :scared1:

I am now back down to 207.8 :thumbsup2

So now that I have gotten the momentum going, I just need to keep heading down the hill. I know that the evening walks are a big part of the loss. Unfortunately, it is getting darker faster and some nights we just say, oh well. We did the one on demand video, that was ok. Not as enjoyable as the walk. And the swimming pool has been closed. What to do. what to do....... I think I am stuck with exercise video type things. Just gotta suck it up and do it.
And by the way --- I am not an early riser so getting up early would not be a good thing -- for anyone! :rotfl2:

You're making great progress! I love your positive attitude and perseverance, keep it up!

Thank you April. It has been quite the road I have traveled. And I absolutely have to be positive --- gotta get to Disney! Daughter and I talked about this on our walk tonight. We have to be on track or we don't go! :scared1:
And that would be horrible. So I gotta keep it up!

(and let's not forget how great I feel!)

LOL. What do you consider being on track?

Right now I should be doing a pound off per week. If it gets to April and i still have 30 pounds to go then there is noooooo way! We are being aware of this and will be realistic. I could be 5 lbs off, but would still go. And of course by mid June we would have to decide (can cancel up to 45 days out) We shall see!
