K so I really want to try out BOG QS for our trip in Jan, but looking at the kids menu leaves much to be desired for my picky eaters. Sooooo, what do y'all suggest can we order food for our kiddos elsewhere and take it to BOG for lunch?

I don't know what to tell you about BOG - it's not like they have a counter that you walk up to and order. They have an entire ordering room before you get to the dining room. You'll need to be carrying that food all the way through the line and the ordering process. Not to mention that the other restaurants probably don't have to-go packaging so you'll be carrying them on plates or those paper boat things.

I would feed the kids first and then just bring along some snacks for them.

I would not do it there. Could you feed your kids someplace else first and then have your meal there (providing something to keep your kids busy at the table while you eat)?

I've taken food from Mexico and ate with family in China before.

I take food from France over to America all the time, HOWEVER I would not try this at BoG. I believe they will be using real silverware and plates there, and I think it would be really out of place to bring outside food in. I would feed the kids first and then let them get a dessert at BoG while you eat. :goodvibes

Anywhere else, I'd say "go for it". But Be Our Guest seems atypical enough that I wouldn't be comfortable trying that until I'd experienced it for myself, or at least had advise from someone who had.

I'm pretty much with everyone else. I think this scenario would work with just about any other CS location but BoG seems so unique in that the orders are brought to you.

The only thing I can think of is if the kids will eat uncrustables and/or baggies of carrots or apple slices etc.....uber portable foods that can be stowed in a backpack. Then just get their drinks at BoG.

But I think it would be frowned upon to walk into BoG with a tray full of chicken nuggets and fries...know what I mean?

Either way...have fun & enjoy!!!

I agree with this. Just checking menus and see Columbia Harbor House has PB&J kids meals that come with two sides and drinks. Just get the stuff there, put it in a backpack and then eat later. If you travel lightly, take a grocery bag with you to store things.

It's your choice but you know your kids. If my son didn't want something at a restaurant, he just didn't eat, or he ate before, or he found something for a side or dessert or something. For example, he might not have wanted the whole grain macaroni but he would have eaten it. "Want" and "can" were two different things with him.
