is Boma a must?

I have ressies at LTT and dont know if i should switch to Boma

I have only been to Boma for breakfast, and for that it is definitely a must!!! This January will probably be our 5th year in a row hitting the Boma breakfast buffet. So good!

NOTE: Boma's an outstanding buffet for breakfast. For dinner it's below
average and worth passing by. African and Middle Eastern foods are
typically spiced with cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, cardamom, etc, which
can make food appear sweet to the taste buds. If doing dinner, go for
the soups. Leave the meats, salads, the desserts - except for the
Zebra Domes - for someone else. (There now are fifteen different soups
at five per night.) Bring out the ear plugs, as it does get REALLY noisy.

I LOVE IT!! If you are meat and potatos people, itis not a "must"--at all. But if you love to try new foods and enjoy different tastes, than yes it is a must--for me 3x/year, dinner only.

Boma just sounds so interesting to me. I think I'll prepare for him picking up a burger afterwards.

Boma dinner is an absolute MUST for us! My husband is NOT an adventurous eater but even he found stuff he could eat, as did the kids. I love the food, the quality and the selection.

I just went and DH thought it was ok for the entree portion. He is more of a meat and potatoes guy as well. He made up for it in desserts though. He had a full plate of everything. He especially liked the zebra domes.

I found (probably on this site somewhere) a guide to which menu was on which day; you might want to check that out. I'm not sure we'll be able to fit it in on our next trip, but I'm going to try. I've loved pretty much everything I've tried there; I think I was most surprised by the delicious oxtail soup.

P.S.: Zebra domes are overrated (by which I mean they're good but not amazing), but overall the desserts are fantastic! I like to get one of each.

For us, YES, it's a must! The food there was phenomenal. We ate dinner there and everything was delicious. My 7 year old daughter will not stop talking about the one soup she had there and how good it was. I'm really hoping they will have that same soup available when we eat there again on our next trip! I don't think I could ever do a trip in the future where we don't eat there

I wasn't as impressed with the zebra domes either. The bread pudding though...amazing! My 5 year old dd is not an adventurous eater like my 7 year old dd. My 7 year old kept telling her sister to be adventurous and try more things. So after my DH took the 5 year old up to the dessert bar, she came back and proudly showed me her plate and said "look Mom, I'm being adventurous!" Her plate was loaded with desserts! She did try a couple of new things at Boma besides the regular kids fare though and she did really like everything.

When Boma first opened before Disney offered the DDP we ate there and loved it. It was a great value for breakfast and dinner. Over the years we tired of it and for the past 2 years we avoided restaurants with buffet meals. Last year we gave Boma a try again. We all loved it. We basically ate the soups and salads, a little fish and vegetables. I didn't,t try the sausage and lentil soup but my husband and ds loved it. I got the recipe online and now I make it at least once a month. We loved the bread pudding and the fresh fruits for desert. We eat very little processed food and enjoy whole grains. Boma is the only buffet restaurant we will eat at.

We love BOMA, and, in your case, I think the big difference is that at LTT there isn't anything there you couldn't have at home. But the food at BOMA is very unique and not something you'd come across every day.

For us----absolutely NOT! We like LTT WAY better! No one in my family cared for Boma dinner the one and only time we will go.

Ditto- we go to dinner ever time. I have younger kids ( started going to Boma when they were 6,8,9) and we enjoy the buffet because it is not the typical Disney buffet and we all can find something we enjoy.
