Staying at Riverside : Show me pics, get me excited!!

I absolutely loved seeing all the photos, especially by DisneyFreak06! This thread has made me excited all over again and I still have a ways to go before its time..lol. My only questions is for those that were in the Royal Rooms, did the room seem darker on the inside compared to the other rooms? I see on the pictures that Acadian,Parrerer (sp) and even the AB seem to be more on the brighter side than. I've been thinking of requesting a corner room for more window/light but seeing as how we won't be in the room that much, I'm thinking a standard view facing the parking lot will be ideal since we're driving. Any thoughts?

i didn't find them to be darker or lighter in terms of the amount of light coming into the room only that the tan colors for instance in the ab rooms gives a lighter appearance in photos than the deep royal blues etc...used in the royal rooms. we've stayed in ab, mansions, and the royal rooms.

Thank you so much for responding! That was the same thing my husband said. Guess I should listen to him more often :rotfl:

Thanks! There are still more to come. I haven't been on the Disboards all week, but I hope to get caught up sometime soon. Parent teacher interviews are this week, so it might not be until next weekend.

I hear ya! These are the same pics everyone else takes & posts but sometimes just seeing fresh ones is great!

Thanks for those pics! I really, really loved our Royal Room in Parterre place, but next time, in order to save a few $$$ we may go with a regular room. The regular mansion rooms look nice. I wish there were some pics from the center of the building to the river so I could see the view. Which do you think is more picturesque- Magnolia or Acadian?

This was taken standing in the middle of Magnolia looking towards the river - you can't see it from the ground floor, there's a gazebo in the way:

This is walking away from Magnolia, in the center of the building, towards the river:

I didn't visit the Acadian House mansion so I can't tell you what the view was from there, but there is a bridge over the river between Magnolia & Acadian, I'm gusesing you'd see that.
