Welcome home becpee, Food prices are a huge shock when you get home amazing how quick you get used to it over there.

battymum thats what i keep telling everyone when they ask why we keep going back its so much cheaper to holiday over there minus the airfares if we holidayed here i would still be cooking every night

Yep, by the time my boys are teenagers, the US will be the only place we will be able to afford to holiday. They already eat like pigs!

That's exactly how we're looking at it a relaxing end to a pretty full on trip.

DH still hasn't been to San Francisco so that will probably be on the next, along with Legoland...and DH wants to bring his golf clubs, he's sick of hiring.
So getting home, we have to fix up the backyard, it till looks like a BMX track, and plan the next trip...

Glad to here you are home. When I was at uni I got a free flight home each year. I turned up for my flight for my Grandpa's 80th and the government dept who paid for the flight changed the date to the following day right in the middle of the party as it was cheaper and I was not informed. Thanks to my dad's credit card, and a four hour drive to Cairns I got into Melbourne at midnight and made his celebration. It is a horrible feeling until you get back into control of the situation.

Now on golf clubs, my dad always buys a new set everytime we go. He has a really good travel cover for clubs which he packs and then it is his second bag the rest of the trip. It also becomes great for bringing home posters and long skinny things that don't normally fit into cases well.

Last December, the man who never shops had bought clubs less than 24 hours after we arrived. One trip the did Palm Springs, Pebble Beach just south of Monterey, Vegas, and then 3 Hawaiian Islands on the way home all based around rounds of golf and sightseeing.

Wow that is very reasonable! I guess with the meal sizes too you don't need to eat a large meal as we would here either.
