Hi. We normally book our annual trip ourselves. we book virgin atlantic direct for the flights and the accommodation through the DVC as we are members. We then book the ME through DVC at the same time. But we are going to WDW twice next year ( greedy ) and so have maxed our DVC points. So we booked our extra greedy we cant get enough of Disney vacation staying at the AoA through Virgin Holidays. Not done that before so does anyone know how you now book the ME?

I'm going to move this over to Trip Planning because you'll get plenty of responses there.

We went with VH last month, and booked our DME here:

https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/reservations/dme/index?bhcp=1

Virgin gave us our Disney reservation number (I asked the lovely people on the VH facebook page, and they came up trumps)

We got email confirmations from DME which I printed out and took with me, used those to 'check in' at the DME desk on arrival, and they confirmed our return pick up time with a note on our door in the hotel the day before we left.

HTH!

we have always done this too. Just book DME online, print up your email confirmation and take it with your luggage to the DME check in desk. When we get the Virgin courtesy/sales call we always let them know we don't need the VH transport and then email them to confirm. :)

Wonderful! Thanks very much :cool1:

Nothing to do with the ME but have you had any joy booking your seats with VA? Since the changes I cant book my seats online anymore. It says seatmap unavailable. virgin said something about changing the planes but that was months ago.

We were fine with our October outgoing flights but had problems withour November incoming flights. Initially booked them until they changed their system and they cancelled them. Got a text about a month ago saying we could book seats (maybe 8 weeks in advance of our trip?) :confused3

Ok thanks that is useful. Maybe you just cant book until the 8 weeks anymore.

Hi

I tried to book ME with booking ref Virgin holidays gave me ( I booked online ) but two days later I got an email saying no such booking could be found. My holiday is in May 2013 anyone else had this issue? I went back to VH who said it was def the correct reference. Tia

This has got me thinking! Last year we booked through Thomas cook signature and used Disney's ME. This year we have booked through Virgin. Our transport voucher shows "transport for 4 through Mears Transportation". I assumed that this was the ME as Mears runs ME. Does anyone know if this is the case or do Virgin run their own transport to Disney from the airport?

Virgin do run their own transportation brought Mears, seems a but pointless to me as the ME is just down the corridor!

Thanks very much.

Its a good job I've checked!!! Would anyone recommend cancelling the Virgin transfers and booking ME?

Is it the VH ref or the Disney ref you are using? Disney won't recognise the VH ref, but you can ask VH to give you your Disney ref number, which should enable ME to find your accommodation booking. :thumbsup2

Alternatively, ask ME very nicely to take another look, and give them your full name, hotel, dates etc, and see if they can find you on the system.

Hi. Thanks for your reply. Yes it is the disney ref. VH gave it to me. I think I will phone them with the dates etc as you suggest! Clearly something amiss!

VH had given me the wrong Disney ref!

Glad you've got the right one now! Is that you all booked up for ME then?

Yes thanks for asking! We will be onboard on 5th May 2013 :-) love the ME! We are flying out to SSR next Friday for 2 weeks. Have the ME already booked for that one. So excited!
