We arrived here about 8 o'clock on Friday night after a few flights.
Aberdeen to Heathrow went really quickly and we had groundstaff waiting for us in LHR to take us straight to the gate for the next flight, perfect. :thumbsup2
The BA flight from LHR to JFK was probably the best flight I've had, the food, movies, comfy seat and staff were great. Upon arrival at JFK, we got a priority ticket to fly through security and we were through in no time at all.
We had a delay in the JFK - MCO flight due to problems with the plane, but a couple of gratis Corona's helped that pass.:rotfl2:
Getting thru MCO as a native is a doddle but the hike back to B1 from A1 for DME is a bit of a pain.
As I'd already checked in online, we were in our room within 5 minutes of arriving.
We spent the next few hours exploring the hotel and unpacking.......

Glad you arrived safely. We are on an amber warning for flooding in Aberdeenshire so hopefully you have escaped the rain.

Look forward to further updates :)

ahhh how exciting! :) I worked there back in 2010 and have booked with virgin holidays to go back out oct/nov 2013..so excited!!

enjoy :)

Glad you're there safe. We are there in December. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Enjoy.:thumbsup2:cheer2::cheer2:

I did write a report of our day at MK yesterday but lost wireless connection when posting!
As it took me so long, I won't be doing that again!
Suffice to say, we had a great day at the Magic Kingdom.... Photopass Plus is definitely worth the wee bit more.

Today was at DTD for the morning and early afternoon and then across to Fort Wilderness to see the horses for a bit in the afternoon. Boma at 6 was really busy and although it was good, there's no way I would have paid the price for it if I wasn't on the DDP. The jalapeño lime tequila were good too. :thumbsup2

Tomorrow is Animal Kingdom.....

Yep, you're better off in Florida - there was almost flooding again on Friday evening (the River Cowie almost burst its banks again - some gardens were flooded on Cameron Street, and we had the TV cameras waiting like vultures - think they were disappointed that they all got soaked for nothing!). :rotfl2:

Glad the connections worked OK - I might try that next time.

Ah that's just the worst when you type a long report and wifi doesn't want to play. I found it hit and miss at best!

Glad you had a good day though. Mmmmm that tequila sounds pretty enticing too :cool1:

What do you think of Wilderness Lodge? Is this your first stay there?

The Lodge is great, and yes it is our first time staying here. I really like the option of using the boats to get around, we've found it far quicker to get to the Magic Kingdom as there always seems to be one there. A word of warning though, if you don't like beasties, avoid it after dark as all the little critters on the lake are attracted to it then.

That could be why we have been bitten so much the last few years - we have stayed at POFQ and only use the boat to DTD and found we were always covered in bites.

I'm not too bothered about beasties, lol. It's just a case of who gets who first - them or me.

I quite like the idea of the boat to MK and WL was on our shortlist for our 2010 trip and I changed it. It's such a beautiful resort

Taken loads of photos already but only posting a few just now.......

MK entrance - yes that is blue sky!
