Premium Annual Passes for DVC Members for $399!

If DH and I activate a PAP in Dec 2012 that will be valid for 1 year, can we activate the "vouchers" earlier than Dec 2013? We may not be going
in Dec 2013---the late 2013 trip may be in Oct or Nov. The PAPs may overlap by a month or two---is that OK?

Can't help you on that one. I know the renewal window usually begins 30 days before the current pass expires so it may be the same here. Hopefully Cheshire Figment will see this and know for certain.

Also, I talked to MS yesterday :confused3 and was told if I purchased the PAPs, there is no "voucher" sent to members. The transaction is recorded and held in "will call" until the member wants to activate the PAP. I could understand that, if I were going to active the PAP in the near future, but most of what I want to purchase will not be activated until LATE in 2013.
Is this correct??? No "hard copy" voucher? Guess it is hard for me to pay
2-3K and have nothing to hold on to!

Welcome to the increasingly paperless world! ;)

They will give you a confirmation number. Wise to jot that down somewhere that it won't be lost. But the information should be stored in Disney's computers indefinitely, until the passes are activated.

Vouchers are just one more thing to keep track of / misplace / lose.

My questions:

I had a very similar question so will be watching for the answer. In my case I will activate my PAP January 23, 2013, but was thinking of getting another voucher and going in December 2013. Since my January AP will still be active for another 3 weeks, I also wondered if I could activate my NEW PAP in December 2013 (was thinking of doing a NYE trip into the 2nd week of January). It would be nearly the same price of renewing my Jan. PAP, but it would have me holding 2 active PAPs for 3 weeks until my Jan. 2013 ticket expires.

As for the paperless voucher. I always order my tickets via online through MS and have always gotten a paper certificate will call to print and bring with me.

Just purchased premium annual passes for all 8 of us going in April . What a saving !!! So excited. Have been told vouchers will be posted to us by 22nd oct so will be in kids Xmas stockings :cheer2:

I just bought my PAP at the fabulously discounted rate. I did not get a voucher. I got a Will Call number that I need to show when we arrive at WDW in May.

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

Bought at Epcot this weekend. Renewed expiring passes (4) and bought vouchers for (4) in the future. I did receive the tickets and 4 vouchers printed on normal ticket stock. They do say "voucher" and have a statement thjat they must be activated by 12/31/13.

As TJ stated be sure to record the confirmation number and keep it. Your receipt is your credit card statement.

As to whether you can activate the vouchers while still having an active pass, I don't know but can try to find out for you.

CF posted in this thread or another one that you could have two active APs at the same time. So as long as you are not trying to "renew" prior to the 30 day window, nothing would stop you from getting a 2nd AP - at the AP price (not renewal price) while your original AP was still valid. I think there are a few questions that this is the answer to immediately above.

I was trying to remember if I saw that on the Theme Park discussion. As you said, why would they care if you waste those days.

And I was told by my supervisor that I would not be allowed to upgrade to a $399 promotional PAP if the person had any ticket or voucher with a (pre-tax) value more than $399.

so I can get my kids AP upgrade (their AP's were 389) but I can't get us ones because ours were $419? Ugh this is maddening. I bought early before the prices went up....

I'm trying so hard to decide if I can make this work.

Right now, we have 1, possibly 2 trips planned for 2014. We'll go in April or June and/or October.

In 2013, we weren't planning on going at all, but now, DH and I have been training for a half-marathon and the Wine and Dine Half is on our radar. So, *IF* we decide to run, DH and I would definitely want to take advantage of this PAP deal. It would be an "adults-only" trip so I would not need to buy kids' passes.

But, since those PAP's must be activated in 2013, if I bought them by the end of the year (2012), we'd *have* to go! I would hate to be out $800 if we were unable to go:sad1:. OTOH, I could just pay the $425 for the regular AP vouchers and hang on to them until we go. That way, if we don't go in November 2013, we'll still have them for our 2014 vacation(s).

Oh....decisions, decisions, decisions....

When I was at work this week, I found that my terminal had both the promotional PAP as well as the regular AP and the regular PAP.

I did notice that for all the DVC APs I did not have the capability of selling vouchers; I do have this capability for all other passes.

And I was told by my supervisor that I would not be allowed to upgrade to a $399 promotional PAP if the person had any ticket or voucher with a (pre-tax) value more than $399.

So if I had an older voucher that I bought a few years ago for $389 before tax, I would then be able to upgrade it?

Quick question - has anyone actually done an upgrade from a UT ticket to the 399 PAP pass yet - would like to save a bit of $$

So we asked about the dvc pap at MK today when we were redeeming our vouchers thst cost more than $399. The CM actually suggested that we upgrade and they will give us the difference on a GC so we did. I know it was probably pixie dust but just wanted to share my experience.

To PSU, yes we just got back (so sad), but last Sunday (October 7, 2012) we upgraded 3 UT 4 day park hoppers to the $399 DVC PAP's at Guest Relations at Downtown Disney. It went very smoothly. I had figured out what the cost to upgrade would be and the cast member who did the upgrade came up with the same amount. It took about 10 minutes for the whole transaction.

Question: If I order the PAP vouchers from the link on members website (through the Walt Disney World Ticket Store), and use Disney/ Chase Reward Visa, is that purchase qualify for the 6 months no interest?

No only Disney vacation packages qualify for that offer.

That's too bad, I saw all the payments over $100 I made to DCL are qualify, so I was hopeing ticket purchase will be qualify too.

We got our DVC annual passes in July (new members.) I am not sure what we paid because we also had a 2 day base ticket to "upgrade" thus off setting the final cost. According to the chart a DVC annual pass is 425. We are going down for Thanksgiving and would like to upgrade to the 399 deal ... I am thinking this will not cost anything or if we are lucky we might even get a credit correct ????
We got PAP's for our dd's in July because they like DQ ... Too bad we did not know this was coming or we might have waited.

Technically, they aren't supposed to upgrade you at all. However some have reported cast members still doing so. Worth a try but don't be surprised if you can't.
