Cast Member tickets?

I have a few questions about Cast Member park tickets. My friend's sister just got accepted into the College Program and she is going visit her in Feb. She has lots of questions, all of which I know nothing about. LOL.

Can a CM on the CP get tickets for family and friends? How do those tickets work? Any restrictions? Does her sister have to be in the parks with them? Any black out dates?

Also do CM's on CP get any resort discounts for family? Can dining plan be added? Any other discounts my friend should be aware of?

This is my understanding for a regular CM, not one in the CP.

I believe she will get a main gate entrance pass with a limited number of entrances on it. She has to be there to get anyone in the park but only has to stay with friends. Family members brought in on a main gate can stay in the park without the CM. There are black out dates that your friend's sister will find out about when she starts.

I believe she will get resort room discounts although its hard to say how much. The discount is better for family and better still if she stays in the room with them. If her name is on the reservation she has to be there at check in. We've been able to add the QS dining plan before for a discount.

Your friend's sister will find out about all the discounts and perks of working for Disney when she starts There are quite a few and its hard to list them all here.

The way it has worked in the past was that the CP will get a Blue Main Gate card after a couple weeks of being in the program. (I didn't get mine for over a month, so plan accordingly for the wait).

The card is good for up to 3 people on 3 days.

I don't know if the amount has changed since my program or not.

There are backout dates, but you have to wait until they post them to the HUB (the place where castmembers get all kinds of information and their schedule and all that fun stuff).

You could try looking up historic blackout dates for castmember passes, they tend to be pretty useful in getting a general idea.

Yes, she can get room discounts. It's 40% for family and friends - more if the CM stays in the same room. Yes, the dining plan can be added at a discount. I have not used this, so not sure what the exact discount is.

Something I'll add since my BFF is a CP and we just went down and visited her, with the three passes, all three people have to be there at the same time, and if only one or two people go with her to get the tickets, it's not like it only counts as one or two tickets. It counts as all three for that swipe..if that makes any sense.
For example, her mom and I went and each got in with her, and then her uncle called a few hours later wanting to join us because he was feeling better (had woken up sick) and she couldn't go back and get that third ticket. It always comes out as 3 tickets even if she's only getting one person in.
