Oh man.... I need some of this. But I have a cat who "loves" moles....... she leaves one by our back door several times a year....... this might not end well! :lmao:

Thanks for this discussion though. It reminded me to pick some up for our trip. I usually don't have much trouble, but my husband gets terrible blisters and will be happy to have some I think.

 I think I'd cry lol

My fav little ornament I have is of a mole dressed up like Braveheart and its called .... wait for it ....... Mole Gibson :lmao: :lmao:

If both are a package or both a room only, they should apply it to WL. If you are switching between package and room only, they will refund it.

Did you have free dining or anything?

I am under room only. I wanted free dining but I am going a week to early or late depending on how you look at it.

LOL! :rotfl:

I bet "Mole Gibson" is a lot cuter than than what my huntress cat leaves at my door though. :scared1:

So being a college counselor, I am curious. Did a counselor help you with the decision?

I didn't have the help of a counselor. I was talking with my nursing advisor about why I was considering changing, and she recommended that I go to a local hospital and shadow an ICU nurse (pretty close to what I wanted to do with nursing). After I shadowed, it just solidified my realization that I didn't want to be in nursing.

The next step was to decide what I wanted to do. I spent a while thinking about it, and talking to advisors in different departments. My last two were sports management (I love planning and logistics, and I'm obsessed with sports) and education (I've worked as a high school youth group advisor for the last three years and loved it). After meeting with sports management again, I realized that it wasn't for me -- the program is 80% web-based (which isn't a good fit for me), and it's very hard to get a job.

I'm very excited about education. It's a big passion of mine. I like knowing that I'm giving back, and helping to shape lives in a way that not many people get to do.

I don't get federal holidays, but I'm still home, recuperating from probable West Nile. :0

Oh no! Hope you feel better quickly! We thought my Dad had that but it turned out to be Pneumonia

Wow! Did you guys see how much that BOG Enchanted Cup was going to be? $18.99! Imagine having 3 little daughters that wanted one. $60 for cups that aren't even refillable (I imagine, can't say for sure).

I guess it will benefit me to have two boys, lol. I won't have to share

Good morning and happy Tuesday. I had yesterday off; this morning was a struggle.

I bought a pair of sneakers this weekend and started to break them in for Disney. I plan on switching between 2 pairs. I noticed, with the new pair, one spot that either needs to stretch or will need a preventive band-aid. So I went and bought band-aids and started an official "Disney box".

I also made some mousekeeping tip envelopes. I want to get some $1's soon and seal them up :goodvibes They make me feel like the trip really is just around the corner.

Additionally, DBF and I watched Snow White this weekend. We themed it by drinking hot apple cider and opened a fresh jar of apple butter. Yum yum!

Quick question: Do you wear sunglasses in the park? Yes, no, or waiting on the weather to decide? I hate squinting (and I do a lot if there's any sun) but I also don't want to constantly be messing with them as we go in/out doors and on rides. If I decide to wear some, I need to go buy a new pair :cool1:

I wear sunglasses all the time outdoors....I tend to squint too much otherwise....and so I can see I'll wear my real glasses with the clip on sunglasses.

How much does everyone leave for mousekeeping tips in the resorts? Does it matter if you stay in a value vs a deluxe resort? Do you leave it daily for them or how often? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!!

I would say the amount is up to you. I have read where people leave $1 per person, or that plus another $1, or more if you know you have a mess. I dont think it matters if you are at value or deluxe, they are doing the same cleaning. I would leave it daily since you might not have the same person everyday.

Agree with this. And we usually leave a little more on checkout day since they'll be doing more cleaning that day. Our actual amounts depend on how many of us are staying in the room and how big a mess we are (or not) plus service quality

morning everyone! :wave2:

Was off yesterday so no DIS time... funny how I look forward to work for just that - DIS chatting and even more funny is how annoyed I feel when someone has the gall to actually ask me for something... lol, need to keep my priorities straight!

Quick question for those who've been to WDW on parade taping day...

We're scheduled to arrive on Saturday, 12/1 around 11:30. I'm estimating we won't get to the park until maybe 1 or 2. I have an ADR for LTT at 4:15. My first question is will MK reach full capacity if they're taping the parade that morning? If it does, will we still be able to get in for our ADR?

What is parade-taping day like at MK. Do crowds thin out when taping is over?

thanks for all your help...

T-52 days :thumbsup2

Does anyone make a Disney binder/folder or your trip? How do you keep everything organized (party tickets, photopass, reservation #s, driving directions). I want to make a binder so that I can keep everything together and add souvenir type stuff along the way like maps or menus. Would love to hear others ideas

Hi folks!

Tomorrow it will be 9 weeks until WDW! YAY!

I'm still trying to figure out when it would be best for my partner to have her mermaid makeover at The Pirate's League. I'm leaning toward our second MK day, since our first day is up in the air and wouldn't be a full day anyway.

Hey JWGM2012!! Did you see that SW is having a sale today?? Use promo code BIGDEAL40 and get up to 40% off of your flights. I know you were looking for a deal to fly out of San Antonio. Unfortunately I am already booked on Jet Blue but the rate out of Houston would have only been $100 more than the rate we got to fly out of Austin. UGH! :sad1:

That's so funny! I was just reading the email about the promo... sadly, out of San Antonio using the promo is still a little more expensive and not able to purchase with reward points.

As an educator (who also started out as Social Studies teacher) - THANK YOU! We need all the dedicated teachers we can get!

Guilty! I make a binder for EVERY trip we go on. Sissy used to laugh, until the info in that binder saved our rear ends on more than one occasion! I use little sticky notes as makeshift tabs to keep things organized. Pretty much EVERY scrap of information related to the trip goes into the binder. I'm so anal I even including a list of everything I packed in case the airline looses my luggage and I have to file a claim with my travel insurance. I figure if I'm always prepared for the worst case scenario it'll never happen - right????

Usually I organize the binder in the chronological order I'll need things to make them easy to get to. You know - air confirmation for the flight down, rental car confirmation (if we rent a car), hotel confirmation, touring plans and ADR confirmations for each park day, etc., etc. The stuff I'll probably not need at all (like the travel insurance policy) goes in the back. I always take copies of the backs of our park passes and put those in the binder too (in case we lose a pass).

I have a Garmin app on my iPhone, so I don't usually print directions off anymore, unless I know the Garmin is going to give me directions I won't want to take for some reason.

One tip - if you hole punch a big envelope and include it in the binder it makes a great place to stuff all your receipts at the end of each day to keep track of your spending. Packing an empty 2 gallon zip lock bag gives you a great place to stick park maps, postcards, etc. that you want to keep for crafts or mementos.

Oh, and DON'T pack the binder in your checked luggage (and yes, I learned that one the hard way)!!!
