New Years Eve and Splitsville

We have read that Splitsville is supposed to have an age limit after 8:00 p.m. Is this true and will it be upheld on New Years Eve. My DD is 19 and we are looking for something to do as a family in DTD. My DS 16 and is friend are doing DQ but my daughter and I do not want to do that.

Since it's not open yet, I don't know if you'll be able to get an answer to that.

If your son is doing something different, then it's not "as a family" anyway. I would venture a guess that they will not bend rules on NYE due to the crowds at that time.

Splitsville is a chain of bowling alleys, and their official policy is 21 and over after a certain hour at their current locations.

I can't imagine Disney will be any different. Why on earth would you think they would not enforce policy?

Well I seem to remember small kids at the dance clubs at Pleasure Island where they were bars - also not typical.

I guess you just never know. We'll probably have more details after it opens.

There is a rumor going around that the upstairs at Orlando Splitsville will be adults only after a certain hour, and the downstairs will be open to families.

That is not confirmed, though, as it is not yet open.

They were permitted only at the comedy clubs. Dance clubs were 21 and up only.

No... there was a beach club themed one that there were most definitely kids at because my friend and I were wondering who brings their kids out drinking with them. This was in February 1998 specifically I remember it. Pre-kids for me... so yeah I judged them.

According to my 2004 PassPorter guidebook, only BET SoundStage Club and Mannequins were restricted to 21 and over, but younger than 18 had to be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the other places.

Kids were allowed. At least at some point ~ I seem to remember they couldn't go to Mannequins... but I for SURE remember seeing them at that Beach Club. It just seem so inappropriate that it stood out.

As far as Splitsville though... I'm sure we will know more as it gets closer.

Two separate places would be good... adult only and one for families. :thumbsup2

I dont think you can just walk in and get a lane. Im sure its gonna be like dinning where you have to reserve a lane. Considering there will only be 30 lanes its gonna be a packed house for a long time. Not sure if they put a limit as to how many games you can bowl to keep the turn-around going fast
