The dream christmas cruise dec 2-6 2012

Good morning fellow cruisers,

I sure hope a few more of you post this weekend.
I'm not as scary as I seem so don't let me scare you away:confused3.

We are off early today to DownTown Disney to browse a few shops and see a movie. Parks are crowded on saturdays by locals so we usually save park visits for sundays.

I am hoping others will start posting a few questions whether they are trivia or just general get aquaitned type questions.
Since I didnt see a new one this morning I will post one before leaving today.

This is a get aquainted question:

What is your favorite Disney animated movie and non animated movie?

I will post my answers later today.

Lets see more photos too. They are fun and also help us to get to know each other better before the cruise.:thumbsup2

Catch everyone in a few hours, after the show,

Kathy

Hi im up here doing a big thanksgiving craft show selling my deernuts to make money to buy more disney pins
:rotfl2:by the way my deernuts are not edible lolol

Good luck with selling those deernuts. What ever they are:confused3
I am afraid to ask. LOL!!

I have tons of duplicate pins I want to trade at the parks but I always forget to wear my lanyard when we go, Can't be old age that makes me forget since I am only 29, or is that 39, :scratchin No, I wont tell my age, mostly because I can't remember that either.:joker:

How in the world did you come up with deernuts for a name for that??
When you said it wasnt edible I was thinking a joke item like moose droppings. :rotfl2:

Me at Downtown Disney today. Had a great time and saw a movie after which they gave out free t-shirts and hats, so i got the hat and Greg got the shirt.
I saw 3 disney cruise line buses while driving on property. Wish I could have jumped on board!!:banana:

I just finished watched The Fantasy pull out of port Canaveral.
I saw someone with a Canadian flag too. I thought of Ian waving one.

Tomorrow I will watch the Dream pull out and think just a few short weeks and we will all be on it and people will be watching us pull out.:cool1:

I have listed the link to the web cam for anyone who may not have it and wants to watch the ships pull out.
DCL leaves at 5 P.M. Eastern time, but other ships pull out before then if you want to watch them too.

IM BACK HOME AND NOT USING MY PHONE TO POST:rotfl2: THAT IS A PHOTO OF OUR FAVOURITE WAIT STAFF HOLDING ONE OF THE DUDLEY DEERNUTS I BROUGHT DOWN. I ENDED UP GIVING HIM TO SERGIO THE WAITER.

DSCF8157.jpg

THIS IS A PHOTO OF OUR WAITER ON SERENITY BAY. HE REALLY LIKED THIS BEACH DUDLEY. LATER IN THE CRUISE I FOUND HIM ON BOARD AND GAVE IT TO HIM.

THE NAME DEERNUTS COMES FROM 1. THE HEAD AND NECK ARE REAL PEANUT, THATS THE NUT PART, AND DEER, BECAUSE THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE REINDEER. DEERNUTS:rotfl2:

I ALWAYS BUY THOSE IF YOU BUY A CERTAIN AMOUNT YOU CAN BUY THE PIN SET WITH LANYARD SO I CAN USE AS TRADERS. OR I BUY THOSE SETS OF 7 PINS JUST TO TRADE. I CARRY THEM IN MY POCKET. I COLLECT ALL THE DVC , ANNUAL PASS, CHRISTMAS PARTY, HALLOWEEN PARTY, D23, ALPHABET, PINS. ITs AN ADDICTION:rotfl2: IF I SNEEK AWAY FROM LAURA SHE KNOWS WHERE TO FIND ME, AT THE PIN STATION IN EACH PARK:rotfl2:
FUNNY STORY. I HAD PINS IN ALL MY SHORTS POCKETS WHEN WE FLEW HOME AND FORGOT THEY WERE THERE. IT WAS NOT FUN GOING THRU THE METAL DETECTORS AT THE AIRPORT. I BEEPED ABOUT 5 TIMES EACH TIME I FOUND MORE PINS. WONT DO THAT AGAIN. LAURA WAS GOING TO KILL ME!!!!

HERE IS PHOTO OF DISNEY DUDLEY RIDING THE CHRISTMAS RAILWAY AT THE YACHT AND BEACH RESORT. I HAD TO LEAN WAY OVER TO PUT HIM ON MOVING TRAIN. HE WENT AROUND A FEW TIMES:rotfl2: AS YOU MIGHT OF SUSPECTED I MAY BE A LITTLE NUTS MYSELF

Oh my gosh, I love the deernuts!! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

They are so cute. I bet all the wait staff got a kick out of them.

I appreciate the explaination of what a deernut is. That does help.

Maybe I can see one in person on the cruise??

I think I know why nobody else has been posting here today.:scratchin

We scared them away. :rotfl:

Honest everyone I am harmless, well mostly harmless. ;)

Hope more of you post soon to get in on the fun.

My answer I said I would post tonight for the question of the day.

My youngest daughter must of watched that Disney movie 100 times in a month.:crazy2:

Thats too funny.
I bet she wont let you carry pins in your pockets this time!

I do put mine together in a bag and put in the carry on because one trip I had bought several to complete sets and like a dummy put them in checked luggage and of course the airlines lost my suitcase.:furious:

FAVOURITE ANIMATED WASNT REALLY A MOVIE. I LIKED ALL OF GOOFYs SHORTS. I LIKE THE ONE ABOUT INSTALLING YOUR NEW LARGE SCREEN TV. LIVE ACTION WOULD BE SECRETARIAT. I REMEMBER FOLLOWING THE RACES IN 1973 AND BECAUSE IT WAS A CANADIAN TRAINER AND JOCKEY. SAW THE MOVIE ON THE MEMBER CRUISE BEFORE IT WAS AT THE THEATRES

I SHOULD BE WORKING ON A COUPLE DUDLEYS FOR THE CRUISE:rotfl2:

SOrry. Just got home from the airport and was catching up on the posts. Went to pick up my aunt who is spending around 6 days with me so I will be off and on for the week. I really enjoy the pictures. I am soo jealous that you get to spend time at DIsney before the cruise. I wish I could too though. I absolutely love everything about Disney.

Howdy Melinda or Rick, not sure which one of you is posting but since Tinkerbell is your photo I bet its Melinda?? Great to see you posting again.

Have a great time visiting with your Aunt. Thats great she can come to visit with you for awhile.
Looking forward to hearing from you when you get the chance. I know how busy having company can be . Enjoy it!!

Happy sunday everyone,

Ian, I remember the Goofy cartoon with the big screen TV. I think I have every old Goofy cartoon taped on a couple old VHS tapes. I want to convert them to DVD's one of these days. I also have a Donald Duck tape.

I don't have a bowling pin or keys pin but will let you know if I see anything that fits that descrition while we are in the parks, so you will know where to go find one.
Downtown Disney is remodeling the old Virgin store into a bowling alley and pool place with a fewplaces to eat with all glass walls for the view on the upper floors. Maybe they will have a bowling pin villian pin for the opening of that in a couple months?? I will keep my eyes open. I want to see it as soon as it opens.

Kathy

Has anyone booked any excursions for Nassau or Castaway Cay??
Just curious.

We always rent bikes on CC and ride all over the island in the morning before it gets too hot. After that its what ever we feel like doing. We like to play it by ear and usually we cover every place grownups are welcome by the end of the day.

Anybody else ride bikes there? I love taking photos from the observation tower on the bike path.

Nassau we have done many of the tours already accept the Ardastra gardens one.
Anybody ever done that one?
We had it booked one trip but got rained out, so we walked to the Pirate museum and straw market then rode the horse and carriage ride by the port so had a great day anyway.
