Single Rider Lines

Hey everyone

Hope you can help me out with this one....

I've made a note of the attractions that operate a single rider line but I was wondering; is the SR line clearly marked as a seperate line or do I have to find a CM to be 'let on' to the attraction via an alternative entrance/exit?

I can't think of any that are "clearly marked". No big deal. Just ask the CMs at the FP return line and they will direct you.

Radiator Springs is clearly marked to the left of the other two lines (FP and standby) but most other rides you'll have to ask the CM.

There are some that require you to get a single rider "ticket" from the cast member at the entrance of the ride, so I would ask there.

With RSR, you just go in i do not remember getting a ticket like you do on CS. SR line for RSR is super fast. And most SR lines for rides are super fast.

Soarin & CA Screamin you go through the fastpass lane, the cm at the entrance gives you a ticket. When we did it on Soarin, it was 5 or 10 minute wait. CA Screamin was longer, more like 15 or 20. RSR does not require a ticket because there is a separate line, there was no wait at early opening, about 30 minutes later in the day.

The biggest mistake I made was not asking the CM at the ride entrance if there was a single riders line. I really only waited in line for RSR and Space Mountain. And a lot of attractions I got in the line and didn't have to wait because CMs would yell looking for singles.

Let me try to think what had single riders lanes:
RSR - marked next to stand by
Grizzly River Run
Splash Mountain
California Screamin'
Goofy's Sky School
Matterhorn
Soarin'

There could have been more, but most lines were under 10 minute waits when I was there and I didn't realize you could ask the CM at the entrance until like my last day.

I asked at ToT and someone told me no... but I'm not sure if that's true.

I hope you don't mind if I ask a related question. If you ride SR on Splash does that pretty much guarantee you sit in the front? I love Splash but hate the front seat as you usually end up soaked.

No not at all. They really do just put you anywhere that's empty. One time I was in the huge back seat straddling a giant dad in the seat in front of me lol.

Nope. More likely than not it will be at the rear - in my experience.

On Splash, there's generally a CM at a kiosk just before you enter the building. So I can imagine that you'd skip the line, go to him/her, and ask. But on Matterhorn, the line can wrap around the mountain. And there's usually no CM until you get all the way to the loading platform.

For Splash, the SRL is up through the exit, so you go all the way around the ride, past the FP return entrance, back behind the "mountain" on the left and you walk up the exit tunnel. When you get to the loading area, stay to your far right and you'll go up over a little bridge that crosses over the water and puts you into the Single Rider line. Just ask any CM if you have a hard time.

Matterhorn did not always have a SRL, so I haven't ridden it since they changed the bobsleds.... I didn't know there was a single riders line for Matterhorn until I got up to the front of the line. It's not that large around, so I'd say go up and ask the CM towards the front of the line first.

*And just because they have a single riders line doesn't mean that they are using it that particular time. And sometimes it's just faster to ride standby depending on the wait. Single rider only gets you towards the front of the line but you only get seated if there is an empty seat.

Another one with a SR line is Indy. You get a ticket from the fastpass CM and go in through the exit/wheelchair entrance. That one is fairly quick because of the 4 across. I think we waited usually like 10 min max. Most of that is walking to the loading platform. I end up next to or in front of my mom every time we do it.

Another quick question if I may

Do the SR lines only operate during really busy times?

For example if you used early entry into DCA and headed straight for RSR would the SR line be open?
