Hi,
We are renting DVC pts from the TSS, and we are getting the DVC AKV standard Studio with Savanna view. I have no idea if the view really will be a nice view or will we be looking at a roof top or the parking lot.

For those of you who have stayed there, did you like the room?? and what about the view??. Do you have photos you can share??. TIA

It's a savannah view so you will be looking at the savannah, not the parking lot.

vicki c,
thank you. we have decided on the Jambo House. Not sure which floor I should request or if a room(#), it better than any other. If anyone has an opinion let me know. TIA

If you're renting DVC points for Jambo House, I believe you'll either be on the fifth or sixth floor.

You will be on the 5th floor that is where they are located.

I would also clarify what view you have there is a standard studio and there is a studio savannah view they are two different booking categories. I would request close to lobby.

From what I understand it's a Savanna View Studio( does this make sense)

Our first DVC stays was in a Studio Savanna View. It was awesome. Since then we have stayed in a one bedroom savanna view, you will not be disappointed. It is an awesome resort. We had so much fun last December 2011 watching the wildabeast chase the Zebra around the savanna.

Sorry to hijack thread....quick question though...did u find the studios small? am considering it but there is me dh and 3 kids (one infant). too cramped??

:) I think five, even if small baby would be crampled in a studio. Now could I do it just to get to WDW for a trip? ABSOLUTELY!! There is a space where the adjoining room door is and you could put the pack-n-play there. That is where we stack our empty suitcases. It will be tight.

Go with a one bedroom at least. Plus you get the washer and dryer right in the villa. That should help with an infant and two other kids.

We are considering this same thing. Rent DVC points with a savannah view. Would love to hear if anyone has more opinions or pics. Thanks!

Amen to this. We had a one bedroom standard view in September with three kids (1 infant) and there is no way we would have been comfortable in a studio. I loved the washer and dryer right in the villa! There are so many places to view animals around the resort, I would take a bigger room over the view any day if you are on a budget.

I am staying here in September of 2013 and have the same question as the original poster yet this it the closest that anyone has come to answering the question.

There are 2 buildings at AKL - Jambo House (part DVC, part regular Disney), and Kidani Village (all DVC). If you book a savannah view, you will have a savannah view. Some savannah views are better than others, but all will have a view of the animals from your balcony. If you book a standard view, at JH, you could have a pool view, or partial savannah view if booked on DVC points. A standard view at Kidani Village is parking lot, pool, or partial savannah.
