Disney owes me a credit?

So I went to check in online today and under balance due, it stated - $33 and some change. I think it's from booking and paying and then after called and got the AAA rate. How will I get the refund? In a gift card?

Just curious if anyone has had this happen. I figured the difference would go back on my card.

Not a big deal either way. I'm just stoked I've got extra money. Dole whips on me.

Are you sure that isn't your balance that you owe for your trip? If they are giving you a refund it will be charged back to whatever card you used to book your trip. If you booked it with a gift card they will refund the gift card.

I'm sure. It said due -$33.xx I've held balances with Disney before and it hasn't said negative. It was the amount of the AAA discount for our one night at AoA. I paid the one night in full upon booking. I paid with my debit card.

You're balance can be kept on the reservation through your trip for things you charge back to the room, or they'll refund you the balance to whatever card you put it on when you check out.

The balance will be applied to meals, shopping, etc. Yes, I have had this happen several times when a discount came out after I had already paid. No problem.

That's happened a lot to us for R/O res when they've taken the one night deposit for full rack rate. For our upcoming ten day stay, for instance, and later called to get AAA or AP discount...well, we've never asked for a refund for the difference in the one night deposit back so it's just 'on account'...at least until it's settled by staying there or by cancellation..

That makes total sense. Hope you have a great trip too. It's been over 3 years since we've been to WDW. We're all so excited!
