What does it mean when it says Grand Villa?

Different than a regular villa? Not sure I understand what each means.

A Grand Villa is a three bedroom villa. They sleep twelve plus one under the age of three. Not all resorts have GVs.

The Grand Villas are at AKV BLT, BWV, OKW and SSR. BWV and AKV are one lever units. The others are 2 floors so you have stairs if that makes a difference.

BWV has 5 GVs that are one level and 2 GVs that are 2 level. All BWV GVs are BW view.

AKV Kidani is 2 level. I believe Jambo is 1 level. As Jean said, BWV has both 1 and 2 level.

Most of OKW's grand villas have entrances on the second floor without elevators. There is one HA with an entrance on the first floor plus GV's in buildings 62, 63, 64 have elevators to enter on the second floor.

Of the OKW buildings with elevators, only Building 63 has GVs (and one of those is HCA). I don't think either has elevator access to the upper floor since there is no exterior door on the 2nd floor of the OKW GVs.

All 36 of the SSR GVs do have elevator access to the upper floor via a doorway that enters the 2nd floor hallway of the GV.

Doc, I don't understand this post. Can you rephrase?

OKW has only 3 buildings with elevators - Buildings 62, 63 and 64. Of those 3 buildings only 63 has any GVs and it has two with one being HCA. To my knowledge, none of the OKW GVs have an exterior door for the upper level (2nd floor of the GV) - so even though the elevator goes to the third floor of Building 63, there is no way to enter the GV from that level - the main floor of both of those GVs is on the 2nd story of building 63. As Debbie noted, OKW has only one GV (Building 48) that has ground level entry to the GV and all of the other GVs have their entry on the 2nd story of the building they are in.

At SSR, the GVs were all built with an exterior door into the upper floor hallway of the GV and all SSR buildings have elevators for each floor so there is elevator access to the 2nd floor of all of the SSR GVs from the outside. There are no DVC GVs with interior elevators to go between the two floors. I'm not sure if the SSR HCA GVs have HC accessibility for the second level of the villa. To my knowledge no DVC GVs were constructed to be HCA on the 2nd floor but a wheelchair at least can get to the 2nd floor of SSR GVs even if the upstair bathrooms/bedrooms don't meet HCA code.

I hope this is a little clearer. :(

Thanks, Doc. That helps alot.
