Hi, finally booked just for a week this time in April, decided on Port Orleans FQ as we wanted somewhere nice and relaxing, we are not using a hire car this time as we only use it for universal (which we are giving a miss as going this month) and shopping so just wondered if there is any other way of getting to Florida mall? :confused3

TIA, Debs xx

We went twice in Aug by bus. It's no.111, from Downtown Disney (MP) every 1/2 hour.
You can also get it from the transportation centre. It takes about 40 mins.

It that from market place downtown Disney?

It's $2 each way or $4.50 for an all day unlimited pass.
The 111 continues on to the airport too. I know there is DME but it's still useful for people staying in an offsite hotel near DTD...

Its quite quick to the florida mall. You can all so get the Lynx 50 to Seaworld from the same stop just outside the Hilton Hotel at DTD Market place.:)

Also, you need to have correct money, as no change. We have always found the drivers very helpful & friendly. If you need to change buses, tell the driver & he will give you a ticket to cover you for both buses. (still $2).

We went on the bus and got a taxi back, would have done the bus back but we were that tired after shopping a taxi was easier.

The lynx bus system is a good one and gets you most places easily with the exception of US/IOA, that is a bit of a pain in the butt...:upsidedow

The 56 bus gets you to Old Town, Publix and Walmart and this you can get from the TTC. We actually quite enjoy catching the bus (each to their own I hear you say) and its just so cheap.:)

Never knew it was so easy to get about, not bothered about not having a car at all this time! :)
