August 2013 flight prices

We are off to Walt Disney World two weeks today (we will be flying thus time in two weeks!) but my mind is already on my next trip!

We are DVC holders and are looking to take advantage of the annual pass offer for $399 to use for this trip.

So naturally seeing as we will have an annual pass I want to save like mad to squeeze in an August trip before the passes run out. We would rather go out of term time as my daughter has just gone into senior school and it's really hard to get the school to allow term time holidays.

With our budget being tight I was wondering if we are likely to be able to get flights for 3 adults for around £2000. We usually fly Virgin direct but I know this won't be happening in August with our budget. And I don't think I have any miles to use for miles and money flights.

We are prepared to go indirect and to a nearby airport such as Tampa or Sanford or any others that are near. We would like to fly from Manchester for between 17-22 nights within the school holidays, preferably August as that's when I have time off.

So based on recent and last years prices do I have a hope of 3 adult flights for around £2000 in August?

Thanks

Andrea x

Well my friend booked 48 hours ago for 2 weeks in August 2013 via sky scanner for £720 per adult flying Aer Lingus via Dublin. Check the www.skyscanner.com website x Good Luck xxx I know it's slightly over what you said.

Should have said we have booked BA for next August but slightly more than that at £3000 for 2 adults and 2 children but that includes a Channel Islands domestic leg to Gatwick which is normally a good £100 per person. Some mentioned they found this pricey but Virgin wanted £4900 so quite some difference, lol x not sure if flying to the other Orlando airport or Tampa could bring your cost down ?

Thanks, I've just had a look and it's coming out at £815 per person, so it seems to have gone up already!

£2573.73 for 3 adults on BA, the flight times are better though because with Aer Lingus the return leg gets into Dublin and then there a 5 hour wait until the Manchester flight which will be hell when I know all I want to do is get home and sulk that my holiday is over!

Check with aerlingus direct they are normally cheaper than through those comparison sites. You might find an option with shorter layover as well

I'm also waiting for flight prices for August 2013. I believe they have sales close to christmas, so will wait it out.

Although I didnt go august this year I booked flights through CO in january for £580 each per adult but prices went as high as £1100 so its a case of looking everyday as they do fluctuate so much.

That AP deal is fantastic. I am also going to get one.Great discounts as well.
Good luck with the search
