Ground Floor Villas at BW

Does anybody have any experience with staying in a ground floor villa at BW with a pool and garden view? Have you had any problems with noise, view or privacy?

We had a ground level studio that faced the clown pool a couple of years ago. No problem with noise or privacy with the patio doors and curtains closed.

We just had a ground floor HA room facing the pool at the beginning of this month. Honestly we weren't in the room all that much to be able to comment on noise really. We were the second room down the hall from the laundry room. The biggest bonus honestly was we never needed the elevator to go to the Boardwalk. If we were to ever ask for another room on the ground floor I think I'd want one a little further away from the laundry room and work out room and make sure it's not HA. We also never opened our shades though to be honest. I didn't like the idea that people could see directly in to our room so I guess that's another negative. We didn't dislike being on the ground floor though :).

Love the ground floor at BWV...always ask for it, and almost always get it...particularly like walking out the patio for a swim...I've had rooms near the Clown Pool and also near the DVC pool...both were great...no issues at all w/noise, or w/privacy (all the rooms I've had have been separated from the pool area by lawn and shrubbery)...

We had a 1st floor one bedroom that was right behind the clown slide. We could open our doors and let the kids run right out and swim in the pool. We heard no pool noise with the doors shut. Unfortunately, our villa was right by the walkway to DHS, and there was alot of noise from BWV workers pushing metal carts on the walkway in the early hours each morning. I don't know what they were transporting in those metal carts, but they moved alot of it!

Is there a such thing as a ground floor for a studio boardwalk view??

not sure about a studio, but there is definitely a 1 -bedroom. 1001 i believe. they tried to give that to us this past may, but i requested a higher floor if possible. we ended up in 5001, which was awesome! i think there may be a lockoff right next to that 1-bedroom we were offered, which was dedicated. would be 1003 and 1005 if i'm figuring correctly. so possibly 1 studio. please someone correct me if i'm wrong.

1001 is indeed a 1 BR BW view. We stayed there last year. I am not sure if next door was a lock off studio or not.....

I once stayed in a ground floor studio right next to the preview one bedroom. I was crushed because I had even transferred in BWV points to wow my DH and requested an upper floor to impress him with that BW view :confused3 :lmao:

Room 1005 is a lockoff studio on the first floor, boardwalk view. I believe it is the only first floor boardwalk view studio.
