Hello! This is my first time posting, I'm very excited to be planning the first trip to Disney for our family for early November 2013! I have 2 kids (who will be 5 and 2), and I'm leaning heavily toward the AoA right now. We will have 2 sets of grandparents with us, so a total of 6 adults & 2 kids.

My main question is the distance between the Cars suites and the bus stop/food court. My mom has a herniated disc in her back and has trouble sometimes if it flares up; she will rent a wheelchair in the park if need be, but if we can cut down on her walking when we can, that would be good (she claims she's totally fine with the walk, it's me who worries about her!) I've noticed some posts on here about the distance from LM to the main area, but didn't see anything about the Cars part of the resort. Our first choice would be LM (due to costs---with the odd number of people we have, it wouldn't really be cost-effective to get 2 suites), but we're just seeing what our options are right now. I know Nemo is the closest, but if Cars isn't too far away, that would cause my older son to be in absolute heaven, he is a Lightning McQueen addict.

I would also welcome any other advice or resort suggestions, I have really enjoyed following this forum the past few days and have learned a lot. Thank you!!

Honestly, it all depends on the placement you have in the Cars Section. If you are at the far corner of the Tow Mater Building section you will be pretty much as close as if you were staying in Nemo. However if you are in the building with the Wheel Well Motel or in the back section of Luigi's or Tow Mater's that adds a good deal of distance because the buildings are very large.

Also, I'm assuming you will get two family suites with 6 adults and 2 kids. I have a family of 5 (2 adults, 6 year old, 3 year old, 1 year old) and we fit comfortably in the suite. But with you having extra adults, you'd pretty much have your kids sleeping on the floor...or the 5 year old in your bed and the 2 year old in the pack and play. That would be really tight.

If you all want to stay together in one room with more space have you looked at the Tree House Villas? I think they sleep 9.

Good Luck with your choice. I loved AoA!

Oh yes, I'm sorry, I should have mentioned we would have 2 suites, so essentially one set of grandparents would have a suite to themselves. nice for them, but probably not the most cost effective choice! But, it might be worth it if the amenities and location of the suites are significantly better than LM.

Hi!! I just returned from a 7 night stay at the cars suites it was probably a minute walk at most from our building stair well (we used the stairs 80% of the time) to the landscape of flavors and main building about 4 minute walk at most to the bus stop. We were in the Tow Mater building. I would try to request there. as it is the closest to the bus stop and main building. It was FANTASTic happy planning
