Yes, of course! Nick will be thrilled to make some friends ahead of time. And he will be going to Edge, he did that in December on Dream and liked it a lot!

The funny thing is that up until now, he has no clue that we are going on another Disney cruise Our friends wanted to totally surprise their kids so we were keeping it a secret from our own as well I guess I will let Nick in on the secret and see if he can keep in to himself and not share with his sisters How do you want to do this? I think I am still workng toward my quote of 10 posts to send PMs I just asked to be added to the FB list. Maybe we can exchange emails that way?

As recent empty nesters (and celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary on November 7th (@ Remy)), I'm wondering how many of you fall into a category similar to my wife, Mary and I? We are retired empty nesters. Have 2 sons, 2 daughter-in-laws and 4 grandkids. They all came with us on our last Disney Magic Cruise in 2002.
This will be our 4th Disney Cruise. The 3 others all have been on the Disney Magic.
We celebrated our 45th Wedding Anniversary last May.
Disney Vacation Club Members since 1992.

We are DVC since 2006 (the birth of our first grandchild convinced Sulley! )
This will complete the set for us! We will have sailed on all four ships!

We have two boys attending college (sophomore & senior) who while they are WDW aficionados reminded us "We are going back in May, right?" ("Yes, we are, boys!") in addition to "You're wasting 'our points' on a cruise?!?".

With you guys talking about grandchildren, you 'got me thinking now if I should've bought the extra 15 years on my OKWR contract?

We visit Holland, MI every year during the Tulip Time festival. This summer, we drove all the way to UP through Wisconsin and visited the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore for the first time. Definitely will go back. And then we crossed the UP and spent a day at the Mackinac Island. This visit seems to be turning into an annual thing as well - we went there in the summer of 2001 as well. The kids loved biking around the island this time

I was just reading about the FE. I do not think we will be doing that but I was thinking of maybe decorating our stateroom doors this time around. Any suggestions where I can find some cool, fun magnets for the doors?

My number of posts are not going up. I wonder if it is because I'm quoting you. I will see what happens when I post this. We have only been to the Tulip Fest. twice. Did they have tulips this year? I heard they were blooming early because of the warm weather. We just drove to Wisconsin a few weeks ago to visit my sister. Made a quick visit to Pictured Rocks - want to go back. We walked the Mackinac Bridge on Labor Day - 5 miles - beautiful weather and a lot of fun. The next day we went to Mackinac Island and spent 3 night on the island. The prices really drop after Labor Day. We brought our bikes and did a lot of biking around the island and also walk the 8 mikes around the island. Love Mackinac Island and all of northern Michigan.

FE sounds like fun. I bought some things for it already.

Maybe at the Dollar Store for the magnets. I know they carry other Disney things - never looked for magnets.

My name is Magda, and I am a newbie when it comes to disboards but not a newbie when it comes to Disney cruising! This will be our forth cruise, second Eastern Caribbean, first that stops at San Juan which I am super exited about. I will be traveling with a big group (11 of us in total): my husband Robert, firstborn son Nick ("Miki") who is 12, and daughters Klaudia and Anne ("Ania") who are 9 and 5, respectively. Both Robert and Klaudia will celebrate their birthdays on the cruise and Klaudia is super excited to be turning "double digits". In addition to our family, this will be the first cruise for our dear friends, Greg and Kathy, their three kids and mom. So, big crowd.

I just recently heard of the disboards and was hoping to make some connections and friends before the ship sails.

I like the idea of the bracelets. That would help identify the Election Escapees when we meet face to face. If we can request to be added to that list, I guess we will take 11: 5 adult and 6 kid ones.

I will try to catch up on reading the posts. I am very excited at the chance to meet you all!

RJSH stands for Rebecca, Justin, Sarah and Hannah the names of our 4 grandkids. Rebeccca and Justin live in Maryland and Sarah & Hannah live in Michigan.
