60 days to go and we can't wait!

Even DH is counting with us. He looks at my phone almost daily. He is also suggesting I start my box I throw stuff in for the trip that we do not need right now. We both really need a vacation from work.

Me! We have 41 more days and I can hardly wait! I keep looking at our plans over and over again! Can't wait!

Hello everyone! I'm new (and late!) to the thread!

My Husband and I are spending the first week of our honeymoon at Disney! We are staying at POFQ from Nov 10-16th we can't wait!!

We went for our Honeymoon in 2004 and LOVED it. We have gone back every time the same week to celebrate our anniversary! You will become addicted, especially with all the Christmas Decor! Enjoy and Congrats to you!!!


To all the Dis'ers Surprising their kids - I think they are ALL going to be SO surprised and excited! It's going to be so wonderful to see the look on their faces! We have to think of something creative to do. I'd really love to be able to wake her up with a surprise. I really need to think of something creative.

I just wanted to jump in on the thread. We just planned our Nov trip.. we will be at AKV CL from Nov 25- 30!! I love that time of year at Disney because of all the Christmas decorations. This will be our 2nd time for the Christmas season..

what are silhouettes??

Description:

A Disney artist will create an old-time hand cut silhouette of you on black paper and mount it in a frame. Located on Main St USA. (This is the description from Disneyland)

In Disneyworld they can be done in Liberty Square (just checked the dis) and main st. I'm pretty sure I read you get 2 and I'm sure if you get them framed you wold pay more.

Just found this on the dis also There is a shop on Main Street that will do a silhouette of a child's profile. About $5-$7. They don't take credit cards; you could only pay cash or charge it to the room.

If we change our trip my hours to go jumps from 1546 to 2912

I don't know if I can do it...

If I do this for my kid, I'm automatically crowned DIS Mother of the Year! I'm self glossing...

The hours seem so high. Are you DIS Mother of the year if you switch?

We decided to surprise our DD5 because we didn't want her getting all excited about going when my 3 nieces are not. They have all been twice already, but this time my DH is going (1st trip / 2nd try, long story) and he just wanted it to be us, so my sister, 3 nieces and parents are not going. Although my BFF, her daughter and her parents are going at the same time. It's a surprise for BFF's daughter too.

Since myself, DH, BFF & her dad are all bowlers and often travel for tournaments, we are going to tell the girls (when it is closer) that they are going to a tournament with us. We are driving down from New Jersey, leaving on Friday, Nov 9th and planning on staying in a hotel somewhere in South Carolina. We are not sure if we are going to tell them on Saturday morning that we are actually going to Disney (we have "Surprise We Are Going To Disney" shirts made) or just let them figure it out when we pull into All Star Movies!

Glad to hear of all the surprises, hope everyone posts pictures and reactions after the big reveal!

If we switch we miss MVMCP, the Osborne Lights, CLP with NPH, and having his brother's birthday while we are there.
We would be changing so my older DS wouldn't miss as many school days (2 instead of 5), and IF he makes the school basketball team he'd miss the first two home games (which would probable guarantee him a benchwarmer seat- lol), and changing would give him more time to prepare for his all region and all district jazz and concert band auditions.

So, since it would be all for him, and we're almost sure we are doing it...
