Ideas for cards...

Would like some ideas on how to do this. We are planning on leaving the kids a little gift everyday at the hotel from their "freinds at disney" one person is going to "forget" something and then lay the gift out each day - the kids are 7 except my twins will be 8 the day we get to disney.

The problem there are 5 kids so I am trying to think of ideas on what to put on little cards to the kids. I was thinking of putting To: name From: your friends at disney and then putting some clip art on them - do you think that will work or any other suggestions?

Your idea will certainly work. You could also do a Google search for images of Disney characters. You'll get hundreds of results. Select a variety and print them on heavy glossy photo paper, in the size you want. Then write your note on the back. You can actually google the character signatures as well, and print those if you can't forge them adequately yourself.

Have some presents be from Woody & Jesse, a Princess & Prince, Chip & Dale, etc. If they are all from Mickey & Friends - it gets more suspicious & expected.

I would print them out at home on the computer, typing the signature & message, before you go - then put them in bags for Mon, Tues, etc. It will be easier to organize them this way. (With 5 kids, the same message per day to each of them is easier. No jealousy!)

Twinmom2bg2 - Sounds like a GREAT IDEA! May I "borrow" this idea? Thanks! :goodvibes

We do this but they are Tinkerbell gifts. I don't leave cards - just things "magically" appear. Have a great time!

our fairy came at night while we slept.
sometimes she only left invitations for breakfast or dinner.

or we got princess ears and a princess tee shirt to wear for the day

I love these ideas! My DD is only going on one, but this gives me something else to look forward to with her! :goodvibes

bababear those are really cute! I ended up just looking up Disney clip art and made tent cards for each child ex. I put Princess on the front of the card put To: Grace From: Your Princess Friends and on the back I put a pic of all the tinkerbell fairies as well - I do have to say they turned out so cute! I did Minnie, Ariel, Bambi and then a special Happy Birthday one for my twins. The boys I did Mickey, toy story, pirate & phineas and ferb. I am so excited we leave in the morning and I still dont have anything packed but am taking off work early today!

I also do this for all my trips to Disney. I actually "mail" a package to my kids about a week before we leave for Disney. It includes Disney stuff like coloring books, word searches, gummies, etc. We send it with sa note from Mickey, Minnie and the gang that I write. We leave special little gifts a few days while we are there. I run back to the room saying I forgot something and leave it on the bed. when I return, we mail a postcard and little Disney gift to the kids to say how much M & M missed them now that they were gone home! The kids love it!

I did something similar but it was in the form of dinner invitations. I did them in advance of the trip and put in envelopes. Each morning, I would tell the kids that an invitation came for them. It actually served a couple of purposes. For one, it helped get the kids out of bed for AM EMH since they couldn't wait to see who invited them to dinner that night and two, it served as an easy reminder to me as to the particulars of each of the ADR's.

I booked our upcoming Oct trip in Feb. I didn't tell DD5 because she would just nag us every single day about how many more days, etc. Three weeks ago (six weeks before the trip), she received a special package in the mail from Mulan, her favorite princess. There was a letter from Mulan telling her about the upcoming trip (breakfast with some of her princess friends, a room in the Lion King section...etc), then there were also a bunch of Disney clothes to take on the trip for each person in the family - DD5 and DD13 got a bunch of Tshirts, and then 2 shirts each for mom and dad...all purchased on severe discounts from disneystore.com over the last few months!

You could always get a set of those magnet picture frames and put a different message in them daily. I think they would probably stick to the back side of the door. It could have a hint on where tinkerbell might have left their gift, or other funny scavenger hunt type messages. Maybe something that would take all 5 of them to figure out?

Or you could have a special bag that you hang using one of the 3M hooks with a special treat in it daily. I know Walgreens has a lot of cute Disney Halloween stuff out right now, you could stock up prior to the trip.

Try the Creative DISigns forum too, those designers are great and really come up with some cute ideas using clipart.
