Dine With Shamu Price Drop

I read the review, which mostly talks about food. The photos make it look like you are outdoors in the sun. I'm just wondering about that aspect. I wonder how many tables there are and if it sells out far in advance. What happens if it's raining?

I think you might have just got someone who doesn't know what they are doing. I would try calling back to see if you get a different result from a different rep. Good luck!!!

Quite honestly, I have no idea. But it sure would be worth a phone call to find out. If you would lose your priority seating, then you could always leave your reservations "as is". If they can refund you the difference AND keep your original booking in tact, then you bonus . If it were me, I would call to inquire.

I am not sure how they handled my reimbursement...... I know I wasn't refunded for the entire amount and billed for the new amount (leaving me with a remaining credit)....I was just refunded the credit. Not sure if I was bumped back in priority order as a result or not. There was less than a week between my original booking and the release of the price change, though, and my reservation isn't until late December, so I wasn't worried either way. I am sure my priority stayed reasonably unchanged regardless of how they put the price adjustment through.

In your situation, with your reservation being so much sooner, I can see why you would want to know before making any modifications. Please drop back to the thread and let us know what they say.

Ok, so I got the refund and by the looks of it, I get to keep my reservation I originally had. My reservation number and confirmation number stayed the same, only thing that changed was price.

We go tomorrow and I just saw this!! I HOPE I can get a refund as I paid originally with my AE! I'd even just take tickets for dinner with Shamu in exchange of the difference! I'll let y'all know what happens.

Just got back from our trip. IMHO, I wasn't that impressed with dine with shamu. Part of the problem was that it is outside and it was very windy and cold. Our food was cold before we had a chance to eat it. Plus it really didn't dawn on me until my kids said " shamu wasn't even there, it was 4 other whales " that they were right, it wasn't dine with "shamu". I had a hard time enjoying because of the weather, but the food was just o.k., Not great. The interaction with the whales is pretty good. Just not sure for the price they charge it is worth it. They do give you a free pic outside, no where near the whales, just with landscape background.

I'm sorry you had a bad time! We went last week and loved it! But, our weather was very nice. We weren't even wearing jackets. None of the whales are "Shamu" though. The original whale named Shamu died in 1971.

We felt it was well worth the $22 pp we paid.
