The choices are for 3 nights early December all including tickets:

The Disneyland Hotel (would love to stay here but is it worth the extra price?) = £780

Hotel New York (I think this is the most practical choice, but think the rooms look dated?) = £450

Sequoia Lodge (stayed here last time and loved it!) = £430

Open to all opinions :goodvibes

How did you find Disneyland Hotel for that much? Best I can find is £900.

I would go for Disneyland hotel if you think you could push it. But hotel New York is lovely. I loved it when we stayed there. Personally Hotel New York is worth the bit extra over Sequoia Lodge less distance to walk in the cold, hot items for breakfast.

I am leaning to DLRP too, got a tax rebate back this week so its like a free upgrade :rotfl:

Wow, that is a good price for the DLH! I have never seen it that cheap in the last few years.

If you can afford it, I would stay there, in the winter it will be nice to be so near the hotel if really cold. But I guess it is what you want really...

I think the Sequoia will be lovely at Christmas, if you don't mind the walk/buses in the winter.

If you've got kids or really, really hate the cold then DLH without a moments hesitation - it's just so convenient for nipping back to if you've forgotten something or need a bit of time out from the parks or just want to get warmed up. If you don't mind the extra walk at the end of the day then I'd go for the New York.

Ah I just seen it. £765 I found it for but ends today :( Dave hasnt booked his time off yet so not in a place to book!

FINGERS CROSSED for a flash sale

Like both those hotels! However, in December I would always go for the DLH, if you can afford it, there is no better feeling than leaving at closing time on a really freezing night straight into that lobby!!

Good as well to go back for warm breakfast after EMH without that additional walk.

In the nicer weather I would stay anywhere on site but as long as we could afford it, it would always be DLH in the winter.

Enjoy X

I have booked!!!! DLH so excited! Also booked Air France flights, quite reasonable and good flight times :thumbsup2

Very excited!!!!

Great stuff. Sure you will have a fab time.

Next up you can start your shopping for thermals. X

Congrats on the booking! :cool1: I am sure you will love it esp if it's your first time in that hotel! From the photos I saw last year, it looked amazing at Christmas time!

We have our thermals all ready for the trip and I've bought us all 'heat hugger' socks which even have a tog rating like a duvet :rotfl2:! Planning on it being very cold, that way if it's a bit warmer it's a bonus and we can peel off a few layers! :thumbsup2

My girls don't know about the trip yet (still haven't decided if I am going to tell them beforehand this time - we don't normally but I think I'd like them to get the build up for a few days this trip). Today DD2 (who is 4) asked to watch Mickey's Christmas Wonderland out of the blue - they are watching it now and getting SO excited - so, goodness knows what they will be like in DLRP - it's going to be out of this world!! :goodvibes

I told them yesterday that there probably wouldn't be many more trips to DLRP now that Easyjet have stopped the CDG flight from NCL and the eldest (7 yrs) in particular looked crestfallen . So, I am pleased we booked our flights with AF as we booked them months ago :thumbsup2! I have never been organised enough to get a good flight price with EJ anyway! :rotfl2: But, it's nice to have the options when travelling and it does outprice the travel for some for a short break now sadly :sad2:.

you made the right choice...dlh is unbeatable in every way and soooo worth the extra money!!
